Putting up Decorations and tree!

mammag replied: I usually do on the weekend after Thanksgiving. If I have company for Thanksgiving I will sometimes do it right before.

amymom replied: I ususally travel on Thanksgiving weekend and then decorate right after that weekend. I used to decorate once Advent began )which this year is Nov. 27th., My MIL likes to be decorated by Friday after Thanksgiving, but since we are traveling that day, I ask her to wait for us. I like to leave them up until January 6th but MIL likes them down on Dec. 26th. So now we struggle for control

This year, with Nathan just learning to cruise around and probably walking soon...the decorations will probably go up late, and not be as nice as usual. I have too many things he can break.

ammommy replied: We go out the day after Thanksgiving and shop and get the tree. We are usually done by the Monday after Thanksgiving.

punkeemunkee'smom replied: I like to start the night after Thanksgiving. Taylor is so excited this year that we may start next week with the snowglobes and stuff-those are her favorite and I bought her some new ones the other day that she hasn't seen and I am jumping to show her! I LOVE this time of year. Ijust wish it would cool down it is still 85-90 during the day!!!

mckayleesmom replied: I think I might start tonight when the kids to to snoozeville.....I like things to be festive for thanksgiving and I have nothing better to do tonight....Also...I have a fake tree....so death isn't a factor.

~Roo'sMama~ replied: Weekend after Thanksgiving. Which reminds me... we still haven't gone to tag our tree. I'll have to ask Dh if we can do it today - last year we waited and all the nicest trees were already tagged.

coasterqueen replied: We always put up our tree the day after Thanksgiving. Since Dh is gone this year I'm not sure if the girls and I can manage to get everything up or not before that weekend is over with. We sure will try, though .

booey2 replied: We have been waiting til after Thomas's birthday because we usually put the tree upstairs and when we have his party around the 23rd it takes up too much room and then you have decorations in his bithday pics. But this year we are putting the tree downstairs so when the kids wake up christmas morning they have to come get us first than we can get the coffee started and then all go downstairs. This may not work because DH and I am normally the first ones up on that morning.

KingMom replied: In the past (before child) we decorated the day after Thanksgiving and Thanksgiving night (house and tree). Last year with a 1 month old at that time, we started just getting the tree, took like 3 nights to get lights up, then a few more to get ornaments up. So, we decided today to start, my husband and put most things out in the house (no tree though) and he put some lights and decorations up outside. This way we can now take our time with the rest, though I think our neighbors will think we're nuts!

CantWait replied: I'll be doing mine the last weekend of November this year. The first weekend of December is already going to be super busy with Christmas parties, and I just don't feel like doing it now. Geez I only took down Halloween decorations this evenings.

mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: I can't remember. I guess we get a tree maybe the first or second week in December. I don't like to have one too early. When I worked, this was my most busy time, so we usually did things last minute. I bet Dh will want a tree right after T Day though.

My3LilMonkeys replied: We always do it Thanksgiving night...work off some of the turkey! Although now that Brooke is getting into everything we won/t decorate near a much - and I can't for the life of me figure out where we're going to put the tree this year!
