RECITAL PICS - Thanks for all the well wishes.

The picture opportunities were limited. We weren't allowed to take photos or video during the show. But, we could take pics during the dress rehearsal. However, the lighting was awful for pics during the rehearsal. At least they offer a video of the recital (for sale of course). Thanks for letting me share.

She got to wear a little bit of lipstick for the first time ever. They strongly recommend make-up because the bright lights wash their faces out on stage. I only used a little bit of lipstick because her cheeks were already flushed and I am not a fan of make-up on kids.

Anyway your neices look like they had a great time I LOVE to see other dancers and recitals... it looks like it was a REALLY good one!!!

That's sweet about Daddy.... You did good only putting the lipstick. She looked perfect. I'm always amazed how over the top some people go putting on the makeup. When Kristen had a show at the Palace Theatre I put light makeup and the teacher came in and put a ton more on her....even put eyeliner going off her lid.

Thanks for asking. She's still really stuffy today. She's been complaining about her nose hurting. In fact, she looks a little puffy under her eyes. I am thinking it might have moved into a sinus infection. (I used to get those all the time) I think I may take her to the ped today.

I was much happier with the costume once we got them. The picture of the costume the dance instructor showed us did not do it justice. The skirt looked straight in the photo (not fluffly), was sparkly on top, looked like it was strapless... that's why I said it looked much too old for them. I was pleased when I saw the actual costume, aside from having to assemble it.
