RIP my little buddy

lost my little buddy on friday. we moved to a new house and couldnt take him with us....so he went to live with my in-laws and their other dog. well we found out yesterday he was killed on friday. hit by a car. so sad...but at least i know he was happy living there...he had roam of 18+ acres. they didnt tell us until after our two parties this weekend (fundraisers)

Crystalina replied: Aww, he reminds me of my Tequila. She was our Rott and our first kid. We had to put her down last year because she was 14 yrs old. It was very hard and DH still gets sad thinking about her.

I'm so sorry about your loss. They are like our kids. We always think of Tequila as our little furry angel waiting for us. And she will be. Tinan is your furry angel.

J-rod replied: Tinan was steph and i's first kid. we got him on my birthday last year. Oct. 13th. we didnt even have him a year.


he will be missed. i just cant stop thinking of things i should/shouldnt have done with/to/for him.

Don't beat yourself up over it. He's passed and I'm sure he knows that you loved him. I'm a firm believer in the afterlife (I hope people don't assume I'm weird ) and I'm sure he's with you. We put Tequila under her favorite tree out in the yard and I swear we can hear her barking to come in once in awhile. We have no houses around us at all and there should be no dog with a Rott bark out there. We just say it's coyotes but we think it's her telling us to let her butt in. She hated being out at night. She was a big baby.

So sorry for your loss. Give yourself plenty of time to grieve. It really can take awhile.

J-rod replied: i think i was a complete @sshole to him. i hit him sometimes when he tore things up or got out of the fence....not beat him but punished him...and i feel like i didnt play with him enough, or wlak him enough, or love on him enough. i was super busy with work, and moving, and stephs pregnancy...we ddint let him in the house, too cold to play outside....then i got super super busy.


i was a terrible dad to him.

Well, next time you stub your toe or walk into a wall just think of it as a payback from Tinan. You just lost him so you're going to go through all of the guilt. It's normal.

J-rod replied: its gonna be hard going out there now knowing he is gone. i thought something was odd when i went there sat evening to drop off Kyan and go to our party....but didnt ask cause we were rushing. and they didnt tell us because we had another party on sunday and they didnt want us upset all weekend.
