Rae... - Ethan's room
Maddie&EthansMom wrote: This is Ethan's room: I designed it (cause that's what I do...design baby bedding ) My (sewing) partner actually made it, though b/c I was too big and pregnant and lazy to do it. She paid for it and made it as a gift, really. Since you weren't around when I posted these and you asked in another post I thought I'd share. (it's so painful. ) I love his room.

To answer your question, Yes, it is Central Park Toile in black with a black check and green chenille. The white part that has his name and initials embroidered on it is matelesse. The colors and the fabrics are so much better in person.
mckayleesmom replied: That is adorable...I want to see maddies room now
Maddie&EthansMom replied: I don't have pics of her nursery on this puter (which was SO cute), but this is her room now. (we are going to redo it soon...she wants it pink )

mckayleesmom replied: AWWWW......I love the yellow.
mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: OMG OMG OMG!!! I LOVE IT...and I can't believe you made them!!! You are AMAZING!!!! I wish I was around here while I was PG...maybe you can make me something for the next baby, although I picked toille so that I can use the one for Wil for a little girl if we ever have one. I'm cheap that way I guess.
They both are really beautiful Aimee...THANK YOU for sharing!!! Sorry I didn't see it sooner....
They remind me of that designer Wendy Bellisima...is that her name? Or something you would find on BabyStyle.com...I get their catelogue! You are such a hip mama!
Maddie&EthansMom replied: Thank you. I love Wendy's stuff, too. She has some awesome bedding. If I were to buy something I would buy her stuff.
I'd love to see Wil's bedding. Maddie's room was blue and yellow (b/c we were surprised) I put the sweetest duck border in her nursery. When she turned 2 I added the floral and made her long curtain and comforter to make it more girly. She is so over it and is ready for something new. Anyway, I was going to use her bedding for the second baby, but it was trashed and I wanted something new.
mckayleesmom replied: Her room would look really pretty in a really light lavender color with the same type of style.....
Maddie&EthansMom replied: I agree! I love lavender. (with green) or pink with green. I will try to involve her as much as possible. She is a girl who knows what she wants.
mckayleesmom replied: Another pretty color that is becoming popular and I LOVE is that dusty rose pink type color...not pink pink,,,,but really pretty.
Maddie&EthansMom replied: Same here! I will try to do something classic and not too fadish. I love black furniture. I may paint her furn. black and do black, pink and green (sort of like the green in Ethan's room)
mckayleesmom replied: The green in Ethans room is one of my favorite colors....I love all those sage colors....I really really like Ethans bedding.
Maddie&EthansMom replied: Thank you. He might outgrow it soon.
mammag replied: Both of their rooms are adorable! You are sooooo talented!
mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: Mine is certainly not as cute as yours...but here's his old nursery. We moved only a few months after he was born...and now I don't like the new one. So I'm showing you the old. You can barely see the toille. It has blue gingham too. It's light yellow and royal blue. The farmer style toille. My husband did a chair rail around the room...light yellow on top, white on bottom. Hardwood floors. My favorite!

You really do wonderful work! You've given me some inspiration to get back into painting...maybe things for kid's rooms!
MommyToAshley replied: Wow... both of you did a great job on the rooms!!
Maddie&EthansMom replied: Rae I love that room!! It is so beautiful! It reminds me so much of Maddie's nursery. We did the chair rail, too with white on bottom, yellow on top and had hardwood floors. (our first house was built in 1950 and remodeled)
mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: Thanks...our "old" house was built in 1912...the new one is 2001. BIG difference! I miss the old charm! I'm embarassed to show you Wil's newer room...but THANKS for the compliment!
I saw a little girl's room in sortof a chartreuse green and pink...and although it seems really bright, I really liked it together! Or what about colors like your siggy? Brown, pink and maybe an aqua color! Cute!
I just painted our master bedroom a Tiffany blue (like the jewelry store boxes). It would be pretty for a little girl's room too. I think it looks great with dark wood!
