Scary night

holley79 wrote: Hi Everyone,

Well Annika got her first ride in the back of a patrol car. blink.gif Already in trouble and she isn't even here yet.

Saturday night I was not feeling well at all. sad.gif I was having a little bit of "growing pain", which I have gotten use too. On top of that, Annika wasn't moving the entire night. I had eaten/ drank anything that normally would get her "stirring" in there but nothing was happening. Well I was on the phone taking one of our officer's reports and the pain just increasingly got worse. Well tears started flowing and finally had to ask him to hold on. I couldn't catch my breath for anything and my whole abdominal area was really hurting.

Well dispatch called ECC (Emergency Command Center) and requested an ambulance. Gave all my information and all that other good stuff. Guess we only have ONE ambulance for the entire county. Well since the ambulance was 45 MINUTES out, ECC automatically dispatches Life Flight. Not only NO BUT HECK NO. You are not shoving me into that tight little tube. Been there done that got the T shirt. (Annika would have been delivered had that been the case.) Well one of our Sgts came in to "assess" the situation. I told him to help me to his patrol car and take me to the hospital. dry.gif We weren't that far.

Well he got me to the hospital. My mom and dad were both there. DH and my sister were on their way. They took me up to L&D, which was pretty nice if I say so myself. dry.gif I can wait to go there again trust me. Her heart rate was good, she started kicking the crap out of the FHM, and the pain finally started to ease. I guess I had let myself get a little dehydrated and didn't realize it.

Guess I just need to learn how to relax a little bit. So that was our excitement for the evening. I have an ultrasound today at 230 so I will get to "see" munchkin. I think it was anxiety that was causing the tension. Because the pain started easing when I heart her heartbeat.

So thought I would share. I spent all day Sunday in bed or on the couch. I got up this morning around 0400 and went to Wal Mart to get a few things. I have been instructed to have a minimum of a gallon of water a day. I'm hoping that if I drink half that I can have something like apple juice. I get so tired of water. I am not allowed to have caffeine anymore. Guess that means no more ice tea, which really stinks.

I hope that everyone had a wonderful weekend. I will get in here now and see what is going on. Talk to you all soon.

My3LilMonkeys replied: Glad to hear that everything is okay! Just a note - when I asked my Dr. about drinking water when I was pregnant he told me as long as 1/2 of it was straight water the other 1/2 could be any water based, non caffeinated beverage (juice, kool aid, lemonade, etc.)
