Schedule? - yes, no or maybe..
MomofTay&Sam wrote: I keep Sam on a schedule, or rather he keeps me on one. We were out all day today and he did not get his sleep, maybe a wink here and a wink there. He slept all evening and is now wide awake!! He is usually sound to sleep by 10 or so. He is in his step and play piano right now making music and watching me. LOL Who here keeps to a schedule and who doesnt? I bet BF babies are harder to keep on a set schedule? I could be wrong though.
Mommieto2Girls replied: We have never had a schedule . Maddie goes to bed when she's ready, usually around 11.
~CrazieMama~ replied: Hello, my Brianna was on a schedule for a while and then after we moved her schedule is almost non-existant. She is pretty good about going to bed around 10-11 p.m. She sleeps all night. I suggest is you are going to take long road trips or even if your baby will be in the car for extended periods of time, I would suggest try putting your baby down for a nap right when you get home and then resume your schedule the next day. HTH
MomofTay&Sam replied: Thanks for the replies, He went to sleep right when he came home around 4pm but then everything was so messed up. He woke at 4:45 promptly for his din din and than back to sleep. That sleep was interupted by a poo and the night just goes on from there. LOL He is done playing now and I see sleep in the very near future. LOL I am blessed with a Daddy who takes over when he comes home(thats how I can be on at night and not much during the day) Singing sleepy songs as I type.. *wink*
Mommieto2Girls replied: I think us 3 are the only ones on tonight . Where is everyone?
~CrazieMama~ replied: Well, good thing your baby is settling down. I will send some sleepy vibes your way.
MomofTay&Sam replied: Thanks for the vibes! He is having a midnight snack, never does he eat at 12! Do you think this means he will sleep past his usual 8 am? That was a trick question, he will still be up at 8am.
~CrazieMama~ replied: I am pretty lucky, Brianna will sleep till 9-10a.m. especially if I keep her up late.
Mommieto2Girls replied: Not Maddie she will be up at 8am sharp trying to look over the top of the crib , standing on the bumpers and moaning till I get up. She never sleeps in any more.
~CrazieMama~ replied: Glad I have been blessed with a late sleeper!!!
MommyToAshley replied: Ashley has a "loose" schedule. She has about a two hour window in which she normally eats, naps, etc. Some days she will take 45 minute naps and other days she will take a 1-1/2 hour nap, so her bedtime kind of depends on her last nap. SHe is usually in bed by 9pm now. We just recently got her back on schedule... for a while she thought her bedtime was midnight...LOL
booey2 replied: Hi, Matthew never really had a schedule and now Thomas sets his own. He is usually up between 6:30-7am, has a 1-2hr nap around 12 -1pm and then is awake til 8-8:30pm then down. If he has had a very busy day he will sleep thru the night but if not he is usually awake around 3am for a bottle and then back til morning. Those are the good days. Otherwise it can be very helter skelter.
Kaitlin'smom replied: Kaitlin is on a schedule and has been for a while. She is always in bed by 9p, wakes up once in the night (that veries on time) then if she does not wake up at 7 I have to get her up between 7:20-8a to get her dresses and ready to go. The she goes to the sitters takes a cat nap in the am around 1/2 or so, the I feed her at lunch time, then down for a afternoon nap 1-2 hours (boy if she does not get her full nap is she ever cranky!) then I pick her up and she nurses about 3 times and eats some solids in the evening. Sometimes she will catnap in the evening about 1/2 hour. She is really good about her afternoon nap and going to bed, hardly fusses at all, sometimes she will babble but she can go to slepp on her own. Althoug I usually nurse her to sleep at night.
I even stay pretty colse to this one the weekends (she will nurse more but nap time is strictly enforced (heck I have to plan things around her nap time, me no want cranky baby!) and bed time is enforced as well, sometimes she does fall asleep earlier that 8:30ish but she is in bed no later than 9p!
maliksmommy replied: Malik has a pretty set schedule. I know that at daycare she keeps him on a schedule and then when we get home we do the same thing almost every night about the same time too. On the weekends I try and keep him on a schedule but it's a little harder when we are out running around. I think Malik has gotten used to doing everything at a certain time that he expects it now:) It seems to work for us, now if I could just get him to sleep past 6:30
