Scotty got fired this morning
Maddie&EthansMom wrote: He's not home yet. I was on my way to pick him up and he called saying he had to finish up some things and he'd have someone bring him home.
We'll be okay. He will find something soon. I feel like this is a God thing. I've been praying for a change and God knows as well as I do that Scotty would have never left that place.
Just help me pray that the RIGHT thing comes along. Something closer to home. He's been wholesaling cars on the side and that would be ideal if he could get into that full time. There's not so much risk involved and it is good money.

mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: I'm sorry to hear the news Aimee, but it sounds like it was sorta a blessing in disguise from the way you're talking about it. Sorry if I'm reading that wrong. I'm sure he will pick something up soon and hopefully closer to home this time. P&PT's!
Kaitlin'smom replied: can I ask what the reason was? He seemed like the kind of employee people want, from how you talk about him.
mckayleesmom replied: 's. I hope he finds something that is more fitting for your family.
C&K*s Mommie replied: You have strength in your faith, Aimee. But I wish you more and you and your family well.
cameragirl21 replied: i'm really sorry to hear that, Aimee, i'm sure something good will come out of this, though. take care.
~Roo'sMama~ replied: Oh my gosh Aimee, I thought you were going to say you were joking! I'm so sorry, but since you said you've been praying for a change, I'm glad for you too. I hope God plops the perfect job for Scotty right in your laps!
My2Beauties replied: I thought he was one of the most dedicated workers I'd ever heard of Aimee. I'm sorry to hear this but I'm glad you have such a positive outlook! Did they give him any kind of severance or anything?
TheOaf66 replied: so sorry to hear that, I hope he finds something soon
5littleladies replied: I'm sorry Aimee. It sound like you are optimistic though-I'll be praying that God provides the perfect opportunity for you and Scotty.
mom21kid2dogs replied: Here's hoping the perfect thing comes along . . . .and soon!

Sarah&Mackenzie replied: Hope he finds a new job soon!!
Maddie&EthansMom replied: Thanks you guys.
Scotty is dedicated, loyal, honest, trustworthy. Moreso than anyone I've ever known. He is such a hard worker. He stepped up to take the position of GM when they had no one. He brought the numbers up and the expenses down. He worked 3 people's jobs and never asked for an extra dime. That's how loyal he is. It doesn't matter where he goes, he will always be loyal to the company and everytime they take advantage of him. But, this is also why I know he won't have any trouble finding something. Even if we finally decide to go out on our own. There are so many opportunities. I just want him to find the RIGHT thing.
No severance, no notice, nothing.
Scotty and I have been discussing a change for the past year or so. Just the past 3 months it has gotten to be so stressful on both of us. The distance is one thing, the time away from the family is another. I prayed for this. This is God's answer right now. I know it is.
Boo&BugsMom replied: Hope and praying he finds something good!
mom2my2cuties replied: Sounds like God is getting you guys ready to go in a new direction!
b&bsmom replied: We were in the same kind of situation this past summer, my dh hated his job, and it was really taking a toll, he started talking with his old job that wanted him back and then he came home one day and had been fired. Right before the 4th of July so he didn't get paid for the holiday and it was the end of the month so our health insurance ended that day. Nice huh? But I felt it was God's way of telling us he needed to move on. I am glad because he is so much happier now. I hope the same happens for you guys. It sounds like he will find something without a problem. Good luck!!!!!
Calimama replied: Everything happens for a reason. I hope he finds something that works out much better for your family.
KingMom replied: Sounds like you have a new adventure ahead of you and I wish you all the best!
boyohboyohboy replied: Aimee, you have such a wonderful outlook on things, i hope and pray you are lead in the right direction soon. I am so glad that your husband is able to find something quickly and easily. how exciting to be starting a new chapter in your life..
luvbug00 replied: Wow. that was unexpected. then again if you think it's best then I hope he finds somthing that will make him happy and bring him closer to you.
youngmomofone replied: Hope he is able to find something soon.
MyLuvBugs replied: Oh My Gosh!!! I hope he finds something soon.
coasterqueen replied: Aimee, I am so sorry.
I truly believe you are right, this was for a reason and I see nothing but a BETTER future for you all. I hope it's one where he is treated with more respect and gets more time with you and the kids.
Our Lil' Family replied: Oh my Aimee. I just tried calling you but I'm sure you are tied up. I too know that this is a blessing for you guys! I'll pray for God's will and that you all can enjoy the time in between with little or no stress!
Call me if you get a chance.
ediep replied: AImee, I am so sorry!!
Your Scotty and my Scott are similar workers!!
I know something better will come along!!
Boys r us replied: Aimee, I'm sorry! I know all of the mixed feelings that come with a situation like this! I think you are right, something better is on the horizon!! Maybe this is God's way of kicking him in the butt and getting those self-employment goals rolling!!!! I know ya'll have been thinking of that for awhile!!!!
Good luck hun! and remember, no matter how good he seems to behandling it..he's a man and it's going to DRIVE him crazy until he is out working again b/c that's just how men are, they have that built in drive to take care of their family financially and his manhood may be hurting right now!!! But he couldn't have a better wife in his corner to support him!!!!!
CantWait replied: WOW, I'm so sorry Aimee, but it sounds like this is really what you guys want either way. Best of luck to him in finding something that he enjoys quickly.
punkeemunkee'smom replied: Aimee~ I know that this is going to be a positive move in your lives! Hang in there! Call me when you need to vent And get ready for closet cleaning! The last time Bill switched jobs-this house got a major clean sweep in the few days he was home!

Nina J replied: Sorry Scotty got fired. It doesn't seem fair that they could let such a good worker go without any notice But, like you said, this is a blessing. Hopefully many good things happen as a result
A&A'smommy replied: ohh honey I'm sorry, I'm sure something will come along soon!!
kit_kats_mom replied: Oh man. I'm sure it's probably hard on him but with you being his beacon...you guys will be fine. I agree that it probably is for the best. These types of things have a way of working themselves out if you look for the good in the situation. Sounds like you are on the right track.
I know how hard unemployment can be on the guys and the whole family. My DH took it pretty hard during his 3 month long stint two years ago. His usual chipper attitude took a nosedive after so many rejections. Now he looks back and realizes that he had 3 great months of intense bonding with Katherine right before Lauren arrived. It was really good for both of them. He'd apply for jobs in the morning then spend most afternoons taking her out or just being with her. He took her to the capitol to see the blackhawk helicopters (how many of you guys have a picture of your two year old sitting in the pilots seat of one?) and laid on the floor playing tea party. It was great.
Now, go pack up a nice picnic, put some toys and blankets in the car, pull Maddie out of school and take off to a park tomorrow to go bond as a family. Try not to talk about work or plans for the day. Focus on the important stuff...you two and those beautiful kids.
1lilpeanut2love replied: ! Good luck to him!
MoonMama replied: Hang in there sweetie.
kimberley replied: sorry about that but i think you have a wonderful attitude about it. lots of p&pt your way that he finds something better!
