Anthony275 replied: juno = movie of the year
MoonMama replied: I must be the wild on on here, I just saw,
Bee Movie
&
The Game Plan
I did enjoy both though!
Nina J replied: I Am Legend - Loved it. I cried
The Golden Compass - It was entertaining, but the book Northern Lights was much better. I will definatly get the dvd when it comes out, though. Wouldn't take little kids to see it, though. They toned it down a bit, but not enough. There is a little violence.
Alvin and the Chipmunks - I enjoyed it, very cute.
Bee Movie - I loved it
Evan Almighty - I thought some of the scenes at the end were obviously fake, but I liked it and laughed out loud in some places. Steve Carell is so good.
Freedom Writers Diary - It reminded me of Dangerous Minds a little..
I love Superbad
TLCDad replied: I recently watch Cloverfield. It is probably one of the best movies I have watched in a few years. Also watched "I Am Legend". Another good flick, but I did not like the ending.
luvmykids replied: The last movie I saw in a theatre was "Enchanted"-really loved it. Amy Adams (who played the princess, can't remember her name) was awesome, she was a total Disney princess brought to life
Watched a bunch of new releases on DVD lately but can't for the life of me think of any names, so they must not have been that great
mckayleesmom replied: I read...I AM LEGEND......it was pretty good. I have to wait for the dvd to come out to see the it.
stella6979 replied: Let's see.....I saw "Wild Hogs" and thought that was pretty funny and I also liked "Superbad", I just think they could have done without using the "f" word so much. Not that I'm all anti-cursing or anything, but sometimes it's just overdone. The last movie I saw though was Rob Zombie's "Halloween" and with me being the horror fan that I am, I loved it.
mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: I just saw P.S. I Love You last weekend and I would say it was okay...definitely not a movie to take your hubby, tear jerker. I was with two other GFs. They loved it, but I'm more of an independent film type, so this just seemed very unrealistic to me. Hillary Swank has done better movies. The best part was the eye candy!...Gerard Butler is HOT and Denny (don't know the actor's real name) from GA was also in there.
DH and I saw American Gangster last month and I did like that one. Denzel Washington is such a great actor and I think he did a great job in this movie. Long though. Oh, Russel Crowe was good too - different role for him.
We watched Because I Said So last night....Boooooooooo, bad movie. Thumbs down. But Mandie Moore is cute in it. Diane Keaton, sorry, barf.
What else?...I posted about this before, but I also rented La Vie en Rose a few weeks back and LOVED it. French subtitles, story of Edith Piaf. Great movie! The actress is up for an oscar and I hope she gets it, brilliant!!
We took the kids to Bee Movie too and enjoyed it! They sat through it.
Oh yeah, we rented Babel last weekend and I actually really liked it. Good look into different cultures and other lives around the world.
My3LilMonkeys replied: The last 2 movies I've seen at the theater are Alvin & the Chipmunks and Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium. It's kind of sad that I really enjoyed both of them.
Brias3 replied: I agree- I thought Alvin and the Chipmunks was SO cute! I also took the kids to National Treasure recently and all three really loved it, as did I!
Our Lil' Family replied: Just saw Alvin & The Chipmunks today, it was cute, Thomas said he liked it.
Super Bad..we got that in the mail the other night, I couldn't even finish watching it...sorry, didn't like it.
P.S. I love you is definitely a chick flick, I liked, just don't really like Hillary Swank very much. Harry Connick Jr. was my eye candy for that one!
Oceans Thirteen was okay...one of those where the sequels will never be as good as the original.
3:10 to Yuma...good one, and I'm not usually into that type.
I think I love my wife was cute, good to watch with your DH.
The Ultimate Gift....GREAT! Love Abigail Breslin!!
We have Death Sentence tonight.
Can you tell we subscribe to Blockbuster online?!
punkeemunkee'smom replied: We saw Alvin and the Chipmunks-that one was cute! It brought back some childhood memories
We watched Minutemen on Disney channel last night. It was cute in a Disney Channel-thats so Raven-Suite Life sort of way.
Brianne~Nice to see you again!
julesmom replied: I just saw 27 Dresses. It was soo good. Kinda reminded me of Jerry McGuire though. But it was still good.
jcc64 replied: Just got home from "The Diving Bell and the Butterfly". Still not entirely sure how I felt about it, though I don't regret going to see it. Pretty intense true story about a 43 yo writer who suffered a catastrophic stroke and was left with "locked in syndrome"- unable to speak or move anything but one eyelid, though he was completely intact mentally. He was able to write a book by blinking his eyelid to someone who recited letters to spell out his thoughts. Movie was based on that book.
"Atonement"- based on an Ian McEwan novel. Very very good movie. See it in the theatre.
"Juno"- cute, smart, feel good movie.
A&A'smommy replied: I don't remember all but
Juno - LOVE, LOVED it
National Treasure 2 - its really cool!!
AlexsPajamaMama replied: License to Wed Saw4
MommyToAshley replied: The last two I saw were: Cloverfield -- good, kind of like Blair Witch meets Godzilla. Untraceable -- good, but a little too much gruesome violence.
I might check out PS I LOVE YOU or JUNO. I've been wanting to see a good chick flick.
MommyToAshley replied: Oh, forgot to add the kids movies we saw:
Alvin & the Chipmunks -- very cute!
Enchanted -- Very well done, I enjoyed it as well as Ashley. The ending was a bit scary for Ashley though.
Mr. Magoriums -- I'm not sure about this one. It's not quite what I expected and deals a lot with death. It probably wouldn't be my first choice for a kid's movie. *smacks self on head* This is probably why Ashley has been asking so many questions about death... I forgot about this movie when I made the other post.
Bee Movie -- while I didnt' see it myself, DH took Ashley. She loved this movie and STILL talks about it even though they saw it months ago.
gr33n3y3z replied: No movies for me But I cant wait for a lot of them to hit DVD
TheOaf66 replied: Latest we saw was Knocked Up that one was ok
mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: We watched Super Bad on Saturday...Ugh, hated it. But figures, since I hated Knocked Up too.
DH watched Ocean's Thirteen last night and I fell asleep.
We have blockbuster online too.
mckayleesmom replied: We have blockbuster and netflix.
My2Beauties replied: I saw Alvin & The Chipmunks, it was cute, Hanna loves it, she goes around saying Bow Chick a Wow Wow to everyone
I now pronounce you Chuck & Larry - HILARIOUS! I loved this movie.
Saw the movie Troy for the first time with Brad Pitt, it was on AMC this weekend, great movie, and I usually don't like movies like that, it's an older movie.
Ratatoiulle, Hanna had saw it in the theater with my mom, but we bought her the DVD, cute movie. I got really into it
I've seen more but to be honest I can't remember them all
Nina J replied: I thought Babel was good, too.
