Self Confidence poll

cameragirl21 wrote: For the purposes of this poll, self confidence=self esteem. Just curious where you stand on the self confidence scale, feel free to comment or not. happy.gif

boyohboyohboy replied: I wish I had more self confidence, I think it causes me to second guess myself way to much...

PrairieMom replied:
ditto. It wouldn't take much to convince me I was wrong. On most things.
I have issues esp at work, and sometimes here, I really worry if something I say can be taken wrong, and be hurtful to someone, when I am never out to hurt someone. and when I feel guilty, it sticks, like, for a LOOOONG time.

My2Beauties replied: I have a lot of self-esteem. The only thing I second-guess myself on sometimes is if I handled a situation correctly with the kids when I am disciplining them, but I don't think that's having a lack of self-confidence at all, i think that's just human nature. I've learned to completely love myself for who I am throughout the years. Women shouldn't beat themselves up so much over certain things.

coasterqueen replied: If you mean in the lack of ability to make decisions without second-guessing myself constantly then....yes I guess I have self-confidence issues. happy.gif

jcc64 replied: I'm pretty sure of myself most of the time. I honestly think it comes with my age-44. The older I get, the more I trust my instincts, and the less I care about the judgments of others.

my2monkeyboys replied: Well - in the decision-making area I am pretty confident, but as far as the physical area I am not at all. So I guess it depends on what aspect you're looking at.

Mommy2Isabella replied: depends on what we are talking about as far as self confidence goes but I chose that I struggle with it ...

like self - not pretty, a little flabby, worry that i offend people type of thing ... BIG ISSUES!

msoulz replied:
Same here - except I am a young 43!! tongue.gif I really don't place much stock in what others think like I did when I was younger. But the one place where I have the most doubts is with the kids.

luvmykids replied:
This is me too. I'm 37 and love that with age I'm a lot more content with who I am. Physically, I've found a good balance between accepting that I'm not 18 anymore but happy with what I've got left laugh.gif , and emotionally I feel like I have a better grasp of what really matters and what doesn't.

I'm still fairly indecisive and analytical, but I think it's more because it's my nature than being unsure of myself.

Boo&BugsMom replied:
Ditto.

My2Beauties replied:
For the record I think you guys are all cute as a button biggrin.gif love2.gif
