Just wondering bc they are saying they are calling in behalf of MBNA or Bank Of America and they are trying to sell something but we never let them get that far
But tonight Ed said to them let me have your phone number so I can call you back and they hung up on him. Last night when they called Ed told them yeah when your number comes up on the caller ID I tried to call it back and it says its not avaiable. Hmmm so the woman said oh really Ed was like yes dont call me back and remove my number bc I reported you and we get a new call tonight.
So what ever they are up to dont take it.

kimberley replied: nope but thanks for the head's up. i did get two weird calls at work tho. it was a boat whistle then some recording about cruise tickets. blink.gif

Calimama replied: Thanks for the heads up! thumb.gif

lisar replied: My sister works for Bank of America and I called her and asked her and she said it was crap.

luvmykids replied: I've been getting calls from a 302 number, I'll have to see if it's still on caller id.

MoonMama replied: unsure.gif Thanks for the heads up.

Crystalina replied: My number is not published so I never have anyone call me unless it's someone I know. Thank God! dry.gif

gr33n3y3z replied:
either is ours but the computers still find you

gr33n3y3z replied:
I would like to report them but how can one do it if the number that comes up is not avaiable?
Can you ask her that for me

Crystalina replied:
I guess so far I've been lucky then. happy.gif

lesliesmom replied: My parents got a call similar to this the other day. The person on the other line said that they were calling about a possible fraudulent charge on my mom's Visa. My dad asked for the Visa card # she was referring to and they actually wanted him to give the number so she could confirm. When he asked for the phone number to verify and return the call she gave one then hung up. It was a disconnected number.

momtoMegan&Alyxandria replied: I would start by going to the national do not call registry and filing a complaint.

https://www.donotcall.gov/default.aspx

Then I would also call the operator and ask for the number for the nusance phone calls dept and I would let them know. Casey and I have been receiving phone calls from a person (not company) in MD and everytime we answer the phone the person hangs up. She reported his number yesterday. You might want to try looking up the phone on Google before you call to see what it says. That is how Casey found out that it was a person calling the office and not a business.

Hope this helps. I hate telemarketers. That is why I dont' have a home phone number.

gr33n3y3z replied: Ok I just got done talking to Bank Of America and its ONE OF THEIR 3rd party
solicitors I told her I dont want phone calls of any sort and to stop all mail also and it if keeps up we will pull the account from the bank.
And I let them know they were also reported.
I told her those ppl. dont identify themselves and they are rude they hang up on you and they dont listen.
She said she was very sorry and I told her I was also but I wont have it

redchief replied:
I did this the other day. Apparently when our credit card account got moved from MBNA to Bank of America (MBNA was purchased by BoA a year ago), they invoked a clause in the agreement that allows for third party solicitation. MBNA never did this.
