Shaving Your Legs (Ladies) - men too ...

Mommy2Isabella wrote: So, as I decided to rest up for most of the day, I just showered! Well, my legs were in need of shaving .. and I just realized HOW HARD IT IS to shave your legs when you have dropped or I suppose when you get THIS BIG!!! Has anyone else encountered this problem? If so, what did you do or did you just not shave your legs!!! HAHA

holley79 replied: I would go as long as I could stand it without shaving. it got so hard. Then I would sit on the edge of the tub to shave them.

J-rod replied: steph has that problem...i offered to do it for her and she says no...she just takes forever and complains about it. LOL

luvbug00 replied: Have Sal do it. biggrin.gif most men will it's not as bad as some other requests we could make wink.gif

TheOaf66 replied: i remember my wife had that problem when she was pregnant, I had to help her...I was so scared of cutting her but it was summer and she wanted her legs shaved

Mommy2Isabella replied: I absolutely HAVE TO HAVE someone else cut my toe nails, and I am a pretty girl ( meaning: I have to have my toe nails painted and my hair and make-up done) or I will NOT leave the house! So, I have been asking sal to do my toe nails and he is scared to mess them up ... and it is DRIVING ME INSANE!!!

luvmykids replied: I just did it in the tub.

Ashlynn's Mommy replied: My boyfriend shaved my legs for me when I was pregnant. As far as my nails, I went to the salon once a week for a manicure, pedicure. wavey.gif

AlexsPajamaMama replied: I remember the night before I went into the hospital in labor with my boy I sat on the edge of the tub crying and shaving my legs because I was in pain but thought it was soooo very important to have shaved legs.

TheOaf66 replied:
I had to paint my wifes nails too biggrin.gif

Kaitlin'smom replied: it was winter so I just did what I could reach laugh.gif

ashtonsmama replied:

Bee_Kay replied: ITA! Have Sal do it!!
My DH had to shave my legs for me with both of my pregnancies wink.gif

kimberley replied: dh did it for me when i couldn't reach anymore lol.

My3LilMonkeys replied: My DH did it for me too in the end. He wasn't happy about it but he did it anyway! laugh.gif

mammag replied: I ended up going to the hospital with stubble and apologized to the nurse about it (I know, I'm very insecure) rolleyes.gif she said they had seen much worse than unshaven legs....they don't even notice. I did take care of other things though because I was WAY too insecure to let that go (sorry tmi). I just kind of did it blind.

I wouldn't worry about it, honestly.

MyLuvBugs replied: I think I'm the odd ball. unsure.gif I never had a problem. I'm really flexible naturally in my legs and hips, so I shaved my own legs clear up until the day I delivered with Lorelei. sad.gif Sorry. sad.gif I do find that sitting in the tub is best for the lower back and balance issues though.

A&A'smommy replied: yeah I was huge but I still shaved my legs REGULARLY lol and all I did was bend over and shaved... I'm also really flexible so that may have been why I really never had problems!!

Nina J replied: I didn't have a problem, it just took me longer. We have a big shower towards the end of both pregnancies I put a plastic chair in there to shave my legs. But, even more towards the end I would ask DH to do it every day so I had pretty legs when I was having the baby laugh.gif He didn't mind, and he was pretty good at it too.

msoulz replied: Legs? What legs??? I thought they had disappeared until after birth!

KingMom replied: My DH helped me with at the end of my first pregnancy and so far, I'm taking care of my own. They aren't always pretty! I'm sure over the next 6 weeks, I'll be needed his help again though.

kalimajerin replied: Ha ha, that brings back memories!!! My first pregnancy I was so concerned I would stand with my leg up on the ledge and shave as far as I could go, the second pregnancy I wasn't ready for it, my water broke 2 weeks early and it was 3 in the morning and it was coming really fast, there was no way to get my legs shaved and I was so embarrased!! I apologized to everyone about my legs and they all laughed, nobody cared!!! Funny the things we are concerned with!!!

holley79 replied:
When I had my car accident, it was the middle of winter and I was single. I was working construction and long hours so shaved legs were the last thing on my mind. When EMT started cutting my pants legs I said to them, "My mama always told me to have clean underwear on but she never said anything about shaved legs." They just laughed their butts off. rolling_smile.gif
