Sheesh! Really?
kit_kats_mom wrote: K just told me that it's only 3 months till her 8th birthday. That can't be right....can it?
A&A'smommy replied: WHAT????
Let's not think about that!!!! They grow TOOO fast!!
kit_kats_mom replied: Right. That's what I'm thinking. Even though she's a straight A student....I think her figures must be off...she turning 6 or maybe even 7 in 3 months...but not 8. That's practically a grown up.
MommyToAshley replied: I'm right there with you. A good friend of mine has a child about to start preschool and it seems like just yesterday that Ashley was going into preschool. It's just so hard to believe that in three months, she'll be in third grade and turning 8! YIKES!
kit_kats_mom replied: See, it's here that I feel lucky. At least K was born at the beginning of the cutoff here in FL. She will start Second grade in August. Third sounds *so* much older. LOL
Calimama replied: Makes you realize how fast time goes!
coasterqueen replied: At least she wasn't counting how many years until she's SIXTEEN like Kylie did to us last night. Ryan and I freaked out when she told us she's only 8 years and a few months from driving. She was like "yeah, soon here I will be 1/2 way to driving age.
Sam & Abby's Mom replied: scary stuff people,,,,,, scary stuff. sigh. Sammy starts K this year and Abby starts NEXT year!
Maddie&EthansMom replied: Yep, Maddie said "I'll be 20 in 10 more years." Our hearts fell to the floor. She'll be driving in 6 years--graduation high school in 8. It's too much!! I think about how quickly the past 10 years has gone by and I know the next 10 will go by much quicker.
MommyToAshley replied: Ashley makes the cut-off by days, but you are right... 3rd grade does sound so much older. I know K would have been fine in third grade, she's such a bright girl! Isn't it weird how kids the same age can be a grade apart depending on which state they live in. They need to create 1/2 grades, lol. I can't imagine if Ashley had stayed back a grade, she's already taller than kids in her class that are a year older, she'd be a giant compared to the kids a grade lower.
MommyToAshley replied: Now that you put it that way ....
luvbug00 replied: 8 years and 20 days until mya is off to college. I'm in single digits!
lol! we are a sad bunch! So i nominate we just take a deep breath, because all the funny things our kids are saying about being older we can use to tease them later..ya know graduation and wedding blackmail! im already collecting embarrassing pics and getting them into an album! mwahhh haa haa!
