My contractions started right before I got to the hospital, and they were 2 min apart, but not bad. I got there at 7pm. At 1 am, the contractions were starting to go away. So they started me on pitocin, and at 6am I was asking for the epidural. At 10am I was still only 2 cm, by their measurements. At 2pm, I was still only 2cm. At 3 the pit was up all the way, and I was only 4, so dr fully broke my bag of waters. They lowered the pit for awhile, and I stayed at 4. At 5 they decided to shut off the pit and give my body a break. Giselle was still very high, and we were concered about her size. We dicussed the possibility of a c-section if she didn't start to move down. That's when I started to feel naseus and have a headache. They checked me, and I was 6-7, but she was still very high. I rested, then at 7 felt like I had to pee, so the nurse went to drain with the catheter, and decided to check. I was complete! Then I started to feel the pressure! The epi numbed my abdomen and thighs, but not my pubic area. So I could feel the pain of the contractions, and the pain when the dr got there at 7:30 so I could push. At 7:35pm I started to push, and she was born at 7:50 pm.
It turned out she wasn't big at all, just very stubborn. She weighed 7lbs 7.8 oz, and is 20 inches long. She looks so much like Jaci. I will post pics later.
Jaci was without us for 2 days, so she really needs me now. And I want to go hold Giselle!
