Silly question - Long post?

TANNER'S MOM wrote: When you see a long post, are you able to read through it? I know for myself I am usually in a hurry to read and reply. I don't know if I am alone.

I don't want someone to feel bad if they make a long post. If I don't respond it's a time issue.

moped replied: I have a hard time getting through the long posts becuase Ia m usually at work or something - so I skim across it if it is a topic I am interested in

holley79 replied: I'm normally at work so it's hard for me to get through a long post also. I understand the long post part as I have had some long ones myself but there are some posts that could be more to the point and shortened.

TheOaf66 replied: depends on the topic, but if it gets to lengthy then more often then not I skip it, I guess I am just not that committed, I don't like reading laugh.gif

moped replied:
Same here!

punkeemunkee'smom replied: If it is something that in the beginning grabs me I will read it but if it tends to be a bunch of topics in one I usually just skip it blush.gif

Mommy2Isabella replied: Depends on the topic ... most of the time, I can't read the whole thing, I don't have the patience, so I will go to the end and see what it was all about. LOL

My3LilMonkeys replied: I try...but often I am in the middle of making dinner, refereeing kids, etc, etc and running back and forth. If I have to get up in the middle of it, unless I was very interested I won't start reading again.

luvmykids replied:
Ditto.

Boo&BugsMom replied:
It depends on what it's about and if it's difficult to read or not. Personally and no offense to anyone, I have a hard time reading posts that are just one long run-on sentence or one huge long paragraph. Also, as someone said, unless the kids are alseep I usually do not have a whole lot of time to read so I have to by-pass some for time's sake. If it's something I can contribute to though, I try to read it if I have time.

luvbug00 replied: I try my best but if it takes too long to get to the point my ADD kicks in and i answer based on what i retained.

lovemy2 replied:
blush.gif dito.gif

Calimama replied: I do for the most part, sometimes I'll have to come back to it though.

A&A'smommy replied: only if its important... if its about ONE topic or something controversial or a topic that goes on and on then I might try to read it but more than likely I wont read it wink.gif I

gr33n3y3z replied: I will have to say heck no
I dont care how good a topic is you can get to the point in very few words
so I wont bother reading them blush.gif

Maddie&EthansMom replied:
Same here. Sometimes I'm thinking "get to the point already!" blush.gif

Twelve Volt Man replied: I seldom read the long ones. And if I have to struggle to read ANY post due to terrible punctuation, spelling, etc., I skip it, too.

msoulz replied:
iagree.gif That does make the reading too much like work.

And I have the same issue as others - at work or just sitting down for a few minutes, and I do zone out pretty quickly in general.

Our Lil' Family replied: As soon as I see that I have to scroll down to finish the first post, I'm on to the next thread. I don't have the attention span for it. If that topic gets heated and escalates to more than 2 pages I'll take the time to read it, but that's usually the only exception.

MotherForever2043 replied:
Same here! Or I'll read the replys biggrin.gif

holley79 replied:
I have the same problem also. The other problem I have is when there is no capitalization and I read on into the next sentence and don't even realize it. wacko.gif
