I'm FROM Louisiana but living in Mississippi. Actually, I'm only 5 minutes from the city that I was born and raised in, in La. So I'm just barely in MS lol.

Cool! DH is from Idaho and we lived in Boise about 7 years ago. All of DH's family is scattered throughout the Boise and Idaho Falls area. We haven't been to Boise in about 5 years but MIL says it has grown a lot.

loveydad replied: Really? I'm always suprised to meet people online from Boise. Most of the time it's a cool place to live, but where we live right now don't even have to lock the doors at night if we don't feel like it. We're up in the mountains and nobody can even see the house from the road.

DixieDarlin replied: I loved living there. Boise is so nice. We got married in Boise at Kathryn Albertson Park. He proposed to me at Morrison Knudesen train depot and you know how pretty it is there, especially at night. He proposed to me on that little bridge that you can stand on and see all the lights of Capitol Blvd. At least I think that's the street lol. It's been so long lol. I would have never moved back down here, but when me and DH came down here for vacation, he decided he wanted to move here, so 6 months later, that's what we did. Now he hates it and wants to go back to Boise but I'm not uprooting my kids. Plus, now that I'm back home, I don't want to move again. Especially since we have our own home and land.
I had family in Boise but my uncle moved to Oregon as well as my mom, and my aunt moved to Riggins after meeting her now husband and they own and operate a white water rafting tour there. So that's just another reason that I don't want to move back. I have no family there anymore. Even my cousins moved to Oregon. It was just kinda nice seeing someone from Boise. I think you may be the 3rd person I have "met" from Boise in the 5 years I have had internet lol.

Kathryn Albertson park is lOVELY. The only part of Boise I really can't stand is downtown right next to the capital. Those big buildings really scare my son.

We may be moving to Ottawa, Canada (it is looking pretty likely) but maybe Dallas, Texas too... not sure.

My sister is in Boise right now. They got stationed at Mt Home 2 months ago. So far she doesn't like it LOL. But I think you have to give any place more than 2 months, right?
