Snow suits? - Winter wear?
MoonMama wrote: Has anyone got there kids snow suits yet? If so where from? I am having a super hard time! Its sarting to cool off here (at least I think so lol) and I want to find Braedin a snow suit before it gets horrible out. Last year he had all these wonderful snow suit and I saw them everywhere. But it seems like now all I see is snow suits for 9 months and under. I want him to have a full snow suit, I want to be able to take him out to play in the snow and sleding down the tiny kids around here (they are maybe 6 feel long and barly a hill lol). I thought of maybe just some snow pants and a winter jacket (he had both of those last year too) but all those seem to be 2T or 3T or bigger. I have asked the stores and they pretty much say what I see is what they will have this year. I want to get a least a 12 month size really want to get an 18 month, but we'll see. Anyone know where to find a snow suit or snow pants and a jacket?
Cece00 replied: It doesnt get NEARLY cold enough here for snow suits. But did you check LandsEnd.com?
mom21kid2dogs replied: I always bought O's at Land's End. They are very car seat friendly because the suits aren't big and poofy and won't compress in an accident (possibly causing the child to come loose from the seat.)
CantWait replied: Finding a snow suit here last year was murder. There weren't a lot of choices and they didn't come out till super late. There's still a good few weeks before we see them on the racks.
luvmykids replied: I've always gotten them at The Childrens Place.
moped replied: I got Jacks jacket and ski pants on ebay GAP I think
mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: Oh Ally, I just gave a bunch of mine away at our garage sale. But I'll go and see if I still have a couple somewhere.
Have you tried any of the Children's Orchard stores??? They are GREAT for snowsuits. They are a lightly used clothing/toy store for kids. There is one on the westside and another on the east. Try them out! Other places are Children's Place and what about just Kmart?
PrairieMom replied: I found ours at once uppon a child. I had to go in twice, their stock changes so fast. I just bought separate snow pants that match their jackets.
The thing I am having trouble with is snow BOOTS. can't find a pair to save my soul. I can find all kids of stuff for bigger girls, but not bigger boys, and I want real boots for Al, but all I can find are the cutesy ones that are just for looks.
lovemy2 replied: Tara - do you have Payless Shoes there? I always found Olivia's boots either there or Target or sometimes even Kmart - but they may not be out quite yet....
MoonMama replied: Thanks Rae
I've never even heard of Children's Orchard, I'll look into them for sure. Thanks so much.
Thanks everyone.
I'm checking out Lands End too.
Boo&BugsMom replied: Ally, I have noticed that too. I need to find Aiden one that is 12-18 months, and they are no where to be found. I'm almost tempted to get him a normal winter coat.
mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: I was looking for rain boots recently for Wil, so I checked online at Target and they had a ton of big-boy snow boots (no rainboots). Just an FYI Tara. Try there. Or just shop online. I bought some great camo rainboots and jacket on Ebay....name brand for half the cost NEW!
PrairieMom replied: I have looked at both Payless and Target and they don't have any. Payless had some size 10 but only for girls. Ugh! It is so much easier to shop for girl shoes than boy.
Anthony275 replied: try LL Bean i got a catalog the other day by them, they have everything for winter now
