So here is a quick wrap up - on all the crud we have been

It seems like since Nolan got sick it has been one stress punch after another around here...actually make that since Tay and I got hit....... 2 weeks ago our neighbor got drunk and called the police about our dog. He says that our dog tore something up in his garage (NEVERMIND that he did not see him and he has 3 big nasty dogs on the property next to him-closer than us-and those dogs are horrid) So Koscuiscko got taken to the doggie jail and I got a ticket for a threatening dog...here is the funny part when I went to go get him since our town doesn ot really have a doggie jail the water company guy pulls up with my dog in the cab of his pick-up truck! Yeah what a threat! rolleyes.gif dry.gif So I have a $200 dollar ticket to pay there...the new police chief in town is a real *&^%$##$&(* and he decides that he is going to try and mess with our bottle calves because he feels that it is inhumane to have them in a pen-uh yeah they would have DIED without us feeding them and their pen is 48ft X 20ft plus a covered shed that is 16 X 16 to get out of the heat, rain, cold whatever...so this week I had to go before the city council (we litterally sit on city limits line) and ask for a variance. We got one but only for our babies on bottles so Cookie and Toro had to be moved to another piece of property dry.gif NOW the cheif is really ticked cuz I bipassed him so now he is saying that Koscuiscko can not be in the pen with the calves anymore (some sort of UNKNOWN ordinance about dogs being in ag fencing and a dog can not be chained. We don't want him chained anyway, So we are probably going to have to find him a new home bawling.gif In the mean time this 'police officer' has shown up at my house, sits across the street from my house in his car while I feed and is generally freaking me out....there are 3 dogs on chains 2 houses over from us and he has not said a flipping word about them! Taylor has been crying for a week I am so far beyond stressed and can't sleep because I am so sad about her (and Bill) losing their dog-not to mention how I feel about him! bawling.gif Plus we can not figure out why the chief has gotten a bug up his %&$$ about us and our land...Tomorrow I am taking Taylor to go see a Yorkie that an older lady is selling-because Bill and I feel so bad that she is losing her puppy and we decided if I can't have an outdoor dog to let me know if someone is coming on the property that a tiny indoor one will have to do to at least alert us! wacko.gif Anyway sorry to blahblah.gif I have just been absent and wanted to give ya'll a glimpse as to why. Sorry if it doesn't make alot of sense....my brain is fried! blink.gif rolleyes.gif

BabyOwen427 replied: Man, I'd be tempted to put a 15 foot privacy fence around my entire property with cantina wire and electrical wire on it. Just so they can't see in and if they try to climb the fence to see in they get shocked/cut up. Of course they'd find some random ordinance you'd be breaking with a fence.

I'm glad Nolan is feeling better. That was just too scary.

Hope Taylor likes her new puppy. What about making your current dog an indoor dog?

hug.gif hug.gif hug.gif Hugs for things to get better for ya! hug.gif hug.gif hug.gif

luvmykids replied: OMG Abbie you guys are really getting dumped on bawling.gif growl.gif hug.gif I would be flipping out over that cop, can you file complaints about your neighbors dogs for anything just so he has to watch them too? I am sooo glad to hear Nolan is still doing well but lord almighty, you haven't had a chance to recover from one stinkin thing before another lands on your head hug.gif hug.gif hug.gif

A&A'smommy replied: hug.gif hug.gif Bless your heart that sounds awful!!! What a jerk he will get what is coming to him!!! growl.gif

MoonMama replied:
Ditto to what Monica said.

Oh Abbie I'm so sorry you guys are going through all of this. bawling.gif growl.gif hug.gif

I've been thinking about you guys and Nolan a lot lately and have been wondering how you all were. hug.gif hug.gif hug.gif

paradisemommy replied: holy cow..you weren't kidding about all the bs..so sorry abbie you are having to deal with all this crap - hug.gif hug.gif

Kirstenmumof3 replied: hug.gif hug.gif I'm so sorry to hear about everything you're going through! I just can't believe that police officer, how can he be so cruel! I hope everything works out for you, I'll be saying a little prayer! hug.gif hug.gif

MommyToAshley replied: Oh gosh Abbie, I'm sorry hug.gif hug.gif You so deserve a break.

We're having a rough couple of weeks ourselves, so I can relate. I am glad to hear Nolan is doing better. How's the therapy coming for you and Tay? I know it's hard but try to focus on the positive. The new police cheif sounds like a real jerk. I wonder if there is anything you can do about it? Eventually he will mess up and get fired, hang in there. hug.gif

BAC'sMom replied: hug.gif I hope things start to get better hug.gif

jcc64 replied: Sorry you're getting dumped on, Abbie! I had a neighbor claim that my dog injured her cat to the tune of $500 worth of vet bills. Of course, she didn't actually see it happen, b/c it was at night and all she heard was a ruckus, and it's clear she has a bias against dogs in general and pitbulls in particular. (she accused me of being an irresponsible mother for keeping a pit around my small children) I agreed to pay half the bill to keep the peace and the police out of it. Never mind that everyone lets their dogs run up here- we all live in the woods on very large lots, never mind that I've personally lost two cats to coyotes or raccoons or whatever else is out there. Who's to say her cat didn't suffer the same fate?? So, kwym Abbie about neighbors and pets.
I don't get the dog in the pen thing. The people down the street from us have every conceivable animal in one pen- goats, a mini cow and calf of some sort, chickens, you name it. Why would it be bad for a dog to be in there too?
And how is Nolan, btw?

mckayleesmom replied: Is there anyway that you can go down and file a complaint against the police officer? Maybe with the mayor. That sounds like harrassment. I would take out a video camera and tape him for the whole time he sits in your house. Start taking a log of how long he sits there. He obviously isn't doing his job watching you guys.

~Roo'sMama~ replied: Good grief! wacko.gif I'm sorry you're dealing with all that Abbie! hug.gif

Teesa®© replied: dito.gif

I'd be sitting outside all day watching HIM watching ME. blink.gif blink.gif

I HIGHLY suggest watching your P's and Q's till this gets straightened out. He's obviously got it in for you and is obviously willing to go after you for ANY reason. growl.gif

Is it possible for you to be able to have tons of friends and family at your place as much as possible? Then you can have a CROWD of people watching him... not to mention witnesses to his harassment.

Got a friendly neighbourhood newspaper reporter? emlaugh.gif Have him/her over for a day emlaugh.gif

cameragirl21 replied: Idk, Abbie, that sounds like harrassment. I don't think cops can sit outside your home and watch you unless you are a wanted felon who won't come out without a fight that could lead to bullets being sprayed around or something to that effect.
As for the dog, I'd call animal control and ask them what the laws are. As for the cop, I'd complain to whomever has his police force in his/her jurisdiction. Could be the mayor, could be the governor or any of your elected representatives. For sure I'd contact the media. Some cops overstep their bounds and they are not above the law. I'd not give up the dog, fight for your rights. Hard as this may be, especially in light of all your family has been through lately, imagine the powerful lesson your daughter will learn as she watches you stand up for your rights and your family instead of giving up the dog in order to get some peace. And who knows, it sounds like that cop will not walk away even if you give up the dog, seems he wants to pick a fight with you so give him one.
Sorry you're having to go through all this. hug.gif

julesmom replied: Can you videotape him sitting outside your house? Then take the tape to your mayor at a town board meeting, or whatever you have, and show them.

HuskerMom replied: Sorry about all you've been through lately! hug.gif Sounds like you guys could use a vacation!

Teesa®© replied: It's been 2 days now... what do you suppose she's up to?

Ya'll think she's sicced her "mean and vicious" dog on the cop?!?!?! Is she serving him up for dinner??? ohmy.gif blink.gif

Maybe he's arrested her for looking at him unsure.gif

I hope nothing's been going on over there. Other than the buying of a video camera, if she doesn't have one already.

lisar replied: hug.gif hug.gif hug.gif

redchief replied: Go on the offensive, Abbie. Take pictures of him watching your house daily. Smile and wave after each shot. With any luck you'll get a good shot of him losing his mind. He's harassing you because he doesn't like you but can't really do anything about it.

My3LilMonkeys replied: hug.gif hug.gif I hope all works out well for you.

BAC'sMom replied: I'm with you Ed. If you have a video camera use that too. The more documentation you have the better.
