So what are you dressing up for Halloween as?

coasterqueen wrote: Dh and I have a family Halloween party to go to at the end of October and we are always so boring and never dress up. I thought it would be fun to dress up this year. The girls are excited about dressing up this year and I think they'd also love it if we did.

I have NO clue what to dress up as being that I'm NOT creative at all. So I'm hoping you all will have ideas or maybe I can steal your costume. tongue.gif laugh.gif Hey, at least I'm honest wink.gif laugh.gif

Kaitlin'smom replied: so are you thinking family theme? or just individual?

check this stie out for ideas

costumes

mine is in there but I am not telling laugh.gif

coasterqueen replied:
Ah, come on share your ideas. tongue.gif

I'm not sure. I know Kylie wants to be Bat Girl and Megan really likes Superman so I am going to make her Super Girl. So I guess we could go with a family theme. Seems so unoriginal, though. happy.gif

coasterqueen replied: You know, I want to be creative like some of my friends are. One year this couple dressed up in jeans, white t-shirts that said "Go Ceilings" and had pompoms, etc. Guess what they were? Ceiling Fans!!!! get it? Ha ha! I thought that was very creative. laugh.gif

Kaitlin'smom replied:
laugh.gif thats funny

well in looking on the site, now I am not sure what I will be. I have a few ideas.

Oh I know what you could do........ready.............its really funny......................

wrap yourself in foil and go as a leftover laugh.gif

coasterqueen replied:
rolling_smile.gif You are funny.

coasterqueen replied: OMG! Here are some funny couple costume ideas: couple costume ideas

TheOaf66 replied: I think it would be fun to dress up and go out, haven't gotten to dress up for a couple years

Karen...I worked with a guy one year who came dressed in normal clothes but had barbie dolls stuck all over him..."chick magnet"

I don't think I will ever beat my Hooters girl costume

coasterqueen replied:
Do tell more tongue.gif thumb.gif

Kaitlin'smom replied:
some of those are laugh.gif

My2Beauties replied: I have no clue what we're going to dress up as this year. I' haven't really thought about it. Hanna wants to be Dora I know Go figure that one rolleyes.gif and I don't know what Aubrey will be yet. I don't know if DH and I will dress up this year, we have no Halloween parties to go to this year.

stella6979 replied: Are you two fans of "Married With Children"? We went as Peggy and Al one year and it was a blast. biggrin.gif

here you go

coasterqueen replied:
laugh.gif rolling_smile.gif That's great. I love it!

coasterqueen replied: ok, as far as going with "couples" costumes these are some I'm considering:

1. Publishers Clearing House: He wears a suit, has flowers and balloons and wears a prize patrol button. She wears a bathrobe and curlers in her hair and carries a large check for $10 million made out of poster board with the PCH symbol on it.

2. Beer and Nuts: One person dresses up like a can of beer (a collapsible leaf basket decorated like your favorite beer works great). The other person wears a white straightjacket or just a white t-shirt with the words "I'm Nuts" written on it.

3. A Pair of Blue Jeans: Both wear all blue clothes. He wears a nametag that says "Gene", and she wears one that says "Jean". Optional: use blue make-up to color your skin blue.

4. Pumpkin Pie: One person dresses up like a pumpkin. The other wears all black and on the shirt writes : 3.14925.

5. Yin and Yang: One person wears all white with a black dot on their chest, and the other person wears all black with a white dot.

As cheesy as these may be - they seem relatively simple to "be".

stella6979 replied: I like the beer and nuts idea! biggrin.gif

DVFlyer replied: I'm going to dress up like Oscar De La Hoya. groovy.gif

AlexsPajamaMama replied: I like baker and bun in the oven
This is cute if the woman is really pregnant! She wears a cardboard stove around her neck with a large cutout in the center for her belly. Velcro or tape a cardboard bun, bread, cookie, etc. in the middle of her belly. The man wears a chef's hat and apron.

My2Beauties replied:
I saw this last year when I was preggo. I wasn't far enough along yet, I wasn't showing so we didn't do it, but it was really cute. It wasn't a bad price in the Halloween store.

amynicole21 replied:
This one would work well for Shawn and me... for somewhat obvious reasons rolling_smile.gif rolleyes.gif

kit_kats_mom replied: You could do the princess and the pea.

My mom and stepdad did that one year. She dressed up like a princess and he wore a piece of paper around his neck with a very pretty Calligraphy "P" on it.

They went as Paradise Lost one year. They both dressed up like dice and carried maps.

luvmykids replied: I saw a couple one year as "Peace and quiet"...they both just had on jeans and a white t-shirt, one said "Peace" and the other said "Quiet". I know that one is kinda corny but it was funny to all us parents rolling_smile.gif

5littleladies replied: I know we won't ever do it, but we have talked about dressing up as Fred and Wilma Flinstone (Jas is perfect for Fred tongue.gif ) and having our friends Scott and Sara (a.k.a. Roo'sMama happy.gif ) dress up as Barney and Betty Rubble and Alyssa and Andrew would be Pebbles and Bam Bam. It probably won't ever happen but it would be a riot!

coasterqueen replied:
I saw that one on the website too. I thought about that as well. I further thought if I could tie in something with the girls on that whole theme that would be hilarious! Obviously I don't have one "peace" and one "quiet". rolling_smile.gif

coasterqueen replied:
OMG! THat would be so awesome. You should just do it. Live a little!!!!

grapfruit replied: I have a picture of Cyndi and my costumes...do you all want to see??? biggrin.gif

We're going to an ADULT party, so no jaw dropping at mine....

coasterqueen replied:
YES YES!!! biggrin.gif

grapfruit replied: Ok, but remember...you asked for it! rolling_smile.gif

First Cyndi (she's going to be a vampire) She's planning on spiking her hair all out from her head, wearing this cool jewel "tattoo" and she has a black rose.

Ok, now me. I'm a "sexy" Robin Hood rolleyes.gif Cyndi and the costume lady said this one looked good...so be honest....but nice. Please? I'm going to spray tan and I have cool brown leather boots.

edited b/c I'm a retard and ALWAYS choose the wrong code! tongue.gif

coasterqueen replied: Oh I love both your costumes!!! I think you look great in them. thumb.gif

BTW, I think we are going to go as Beer and Nuts. Dh said "the problem is who goes as what" - meaning he thinks he should be beer and I should be nuts, but doesn't want to say so. rolling_smile.gif

grapfruit replied: Wouldn't it be more appopriate for HIM to go as Nuts...if you know what I mean???

coasterqueen replied:
laugh.gif Yeah, if you think of it that way wink.gif

grapfruit replied: Me and my dirty mind ALWAYS think of it that way. tongue.gif Sorry about that! biggrin.gif

grapfruit replied: Has anybody else gotten their costume and want to share pictues?? cool.gif

coasterqueen replied:
I'll share when we get them made. smile.gif

grapfruit replied:
Deal happy.gif
