So what do youz think?
Hillbilly Housewife wrote: We were talking about names last night, and we figured that we'd just go with our boy names from before, and just pick one of those.
Jeremie Nathaniel Nicholas
And then...the girly names.
Emilie (Emmy) Julie (Jewel) Kamina (Minnie) Emmanuelle (Emmy or Ella) Celeste Audrée Camille (Cammy) Danyelle (Ella or Dany) Myckaelle (Micky) Jezzabelle (Jez or Belle) Alice Angelique Serina Rachelle Jadyn Ciara Cassidy Oriana Siobhan Peyton Grace Hope Helena Rheanna Naeomy
Whew. We have so many more girl names!! The last name is Darveau, and as for Zach, we won't give a middle name.
Which names do you like the best?
maliksmommy replied: Wow, I can see why you are having a hard time deciding Personally I like Nicholas and Grace. Grace was one of my favorites when we were talking about girls names. They are all beautiful though no matter which you choose. Good luck deciding
Kaitlin'smom replied: Wow! what a list of girl names!
I like Nicholas (have a nephew named that)
and
Emilie
good luck choosing, I know it was hard for us well at least with the first name the middle name was easy! it went with every name we picked out!
Heather replied: I love Nicholas...I wanted to name my "Son" that, but I had a girl..LOL
I like Alice...I wanted Alice for my daughter *Alison* but my husband wanted Alison...so we compromised..it was close enough.
Good luck you have a tough decision!! ALL THE BEST!!!
mckayleesmom replied: Well I like names that are different so I would say that I like Oriana.
ashade75 replied: I like Nicholas.
And I love Peyton for a girl. I think it is a very unique, but yet girlie name. Plus the little girl down the street is names peyton and she is just adorable. It's funny how you relate names to people you know by that name. If you dont like someone, then you dont like the name.
You should make a poll on the board with like 5 of your favorite names and see which everyone votes for. Good Luck!!!
Hillbilly Housewife replied: I was going to make a poll......but I had too many!!! rofl!
Schnoogly replied: For the girls I like Helena and Emmanuelle (Ella). Ella was on our girls list too.
Helena Darveau just sounds like a movie star!!
Steph
dhoppygirl replied: No, no, no...you can't name your girl Peyton...that's my baby boy's name!!!
I personally like Ciara for a girls name and for a boy Nicholas!!
CantWait replied: For a boy I like Nicholas
And for a girl......Kamina
MommyToAshley replied: For the boy, I have to jump on the Nicholas bandwagon
And for girl, I like Grace.
gabbiesmum replied: My daughters name is gabrielle, and she is 8 months I only had two names picked out one for a girl and one for a boy cause I had had these since I was 15!
I think Nicholas is a beautiful boys name and Emily would be my choice out of those girls names.
But who am I to tell you what to name your child.
I had my names picked out from yonks ago but next time I will be stumped for a girls name.
I think you should go with your instincts and give a name that you feel embodies your child
Good Luck
Mel
MomToMany replied: I'd have to agree with most here. I like Nicholas for a boy, and Grace for a girl. But it's up to you guys, so good luck !
supermom replied: I guess I will be the 'odd man out' but it won't be the first time
I like Nathaniel - the only prob is that I have heard it shortened to Nate here in the states, don't know about Canada......
And I like Celeste for a girl
Good luck picking and choosing, we are going thru the same thing ourselves, we just have less time to decide -
Hillbilly Housewife replied: Thanks everyone! I'll definitely let you all know when we decide! (the FIRST decision anyways... lol)
Mommieto2Girls replied: For a boys name I like Nathaniel. For a girls name I like Cassidy. Whatever you choose will be a beautiful name.I was wondering why don't you want to give a middle name? I think giving a middle name gives the name more personality. Please don't take this the wrong way. I was just wondering.
Hillbilly Housewife replied: Because it's expected.
lol!
Seriously though... we don't want to name our kids after anyone, because both our families are the type to dwell on that, even if it's completely un-related. For exaple, DH's mother's name is France. So we would never name a boy Francois, Francis, Jean-Francois and so on, because she would see it as a tribute to her name, even if it's totally not.
So we agreed to have no middle names, because it's just another name to pick. You know? And with my dad having 10 siblings, my mom having over 40 cousins, plus their kids, and DH's parents having 12 siblings EACH, plus their kids, it's one long list of names to cross off.
It sounds a bit mean.... but we don't want our kids' names to be mistaken for a namesake when it isn't...and we don't want to hurt anyone's feelings. They don't NEED a middle name, it's just something people do. If they WANT a middle name later on, there is nothing to stop them from getting it.
So no offense taken!
