LOL about being homesick. With my older son, I could NOT wait to get out of the hospital - they were wearing me out there! I had a c-section so had to wait till day 4 and was SO tired by the time they let me go I was grateful to get home to the peace and quite of my own apartment.

With Gabriel though... I had a private room and they had invented the "pain-pump" in the 15 years between my two boys. Woooo... I could have stayed in that room FOREVER. It was quiet, the bed was comfy, the nurses were helpful... I still fantasize about going back to that room!! I think I was mostly just high as a kite! Even Michael (that's my 15 year old) still teases me about my "happy pump!"

I couldn't WAIT to get home either, especially after I had Kayla. I left the next afternoon.

AshleyRose replied: Thanks guys for all the congrats and compliments! She is certainly a sweet pea. Brad is SUCH a huge help and has went miles beyond my expectations. I knew he was going to be a great Dad but he is just ridiculously wonderful . He has adjusted to the new life very well. I have just started to not be very affected by the sleep deprivation. I am also very emotional and cry often especially when I see my hubby doing such a great job and making me so proud... it just kills me. I am feeling SO GOOD though (alyssasmommy, you hit the nail on the head!!). Miss P is a very good baby and doesn't cry for no reason so that is a PLUS! I will post my birth story when I have the time.
