Somethings wrong with Al
PrairieMom wrote: For the past 3 nights she has been spiking fevers. She is completely fine during the day, but around 4-ish she starts getting hot. I have been giving her tylenol / otrin alternating all through the day, but she gets a fever at night anyway. She got up to 104.3 last night. We had to toss her in the tub to cool her off. She has no other symptoms tho, no sore throat, she is eating fine, drinking okay, runs and plays like normal during the day. What the heck is wrong with her? Also , to make matters worse, we are 600 miles from home, and 40 miles from the nearest "Dr" who I am pretty sure is just a vet. I hate having sick kids away from home. She is going to miss christmas eve service at the church tonight. Which means I will too. What a bummer Christmas. At least no one else has it.
DVFlyer replied: Chloe's been sick for a month... something's going around. A co-worker's kids have Strep.
Not much you can do other than what you already are. Never fun having sick kids.
Danalana replied: Awwww, I hope she gets to feeling better soon! So sorry about Christmas
boyohboyohboy replied: wow, poor al this is not the time to be sick... does she have any other symptoms? has she been around other kids? does Ben go to daycare, do you think she has been exposed to either chicken pox or some thing that doesnt show up for a week after the fever starts???? I hope it turns out to be nothing but a fever and gone.
momofone replied: maybe try some hot tea and honey and lemon .
lisar replied: that poor baby, I hope she is all better soon. If it gets to bad or has you worried take her to the ER
TLCDad replied: I hope she feels better soon. Are there any other symptoms other than fever?
A&A'smommy replied: yuck poor baby (and momma too) I hope she feels better today!!!
punkeemunkee'smom replied: yUCK! Fevers like that are so scary! Taylor has done that before and it was a strep infection that had not ended up in her throat but rather in her kidneys. I am sorry you are having to deal with it when you are away too-that makes it 2x as hard! Many prayers for her!
~Roo'sMama~ replied: I'm sorry! That seems very strange - can you call your clinic at home and talk to the on call nurse or doctor to see if they have any insight on it? I hope she's doing better!
jcc64 replied: My kids have had viruses in the past just like that--a few times their fevers topped 105, which really freaked me out. But it always turned out to be just a weird virus. Hope she gets better soon, Tara!
PrairieMom replied: Well, thankfully the fevers disapeared as mysteriously as they came. Christmas day she was totally fine. What a relief.
MoonMama replied: I'm glad she's doing better and you guys enjoyed Christmas.
A&A'smommy replied: YAY i'm glad they went away ... SO weird!!!
Insanemomof3 replied: Glad to hear she is better!!!
MommyToAshley replied: Glad to hear she is doing better.
lisar replied: Glad to know she is back to normal
My2Beauties replied: Thank goodness, that really had me concerned when I saw the OP. I was thinking a strep infection too! I'm glad she is ok now!
