Hanson hasn't done anything since mmmbop I thought it was stupid when it came out too lol

When her album first came out I thought she was pretty good - she can sing - but then I saw her show on MTV and decided she's just as much of a ditz as her sister.  She definitely needs to grow up.

That song, I loved it when it came out and I bought the CD when Rick and I were dating and we had gone out of town, I still remember the very moment when it hit me, This guy is singing about love and he just said deep fried chicken..rick was like No he did not..I said YES HE DID!!!! and had to rewind it for him until he conceded!

I died laughing when she performed at the awards show after the SNL "accident". She started singing a song as if it was the wrong one and stopped, looked out in the audience and said, "guys, it's a joke".
I could just hear the audience saying, "yup, it's a joke alright..... you being on stage, that is".
It was some of the most out of tune singing I've ever heard. It just goes to show you that, with enough money or knowing the right people, ANYONE can make a hit record. Just look at Eminem. His latest song to his daughter (someone get me a tissue, I might squirt a tear from all of his heart wrenching lyrics ) is the world's longest run-on sentence.... and I like rap music.

My2Beauties replied: OK now...let's not start an Eminem debate...that man is my future husband (if I ever got to meet him that is)  I think he is one of the most genius rappers out here, sure some may not agree with his lyrics..but that's what he wants..controversy! He does it to sell records and he knows what he is doing! Gotta love him for it! Ahhhhhhh he's so HOT!

It's not talen these days, it's looks and attitude. If he wasn't "hot", you would never listen to him. Also, it's not that I don't like what he's saying (although, didn't he say something about beating his mother? ) it's the way he arranges his lyrics. Anyone who rhymes "promise" with "mom is" is not a genius; they're just good at using poetic license.
Besides, he's not the genius in that marriage, Dr. Dre is. . Case in point: How long has Eminem been rapping v.s. how long has he been popular? He was a joke among the rapping community until Dr. Dre came along.
But, I do wish you the best should the opportunity to make your dream marriage come true. 
My2Beauties replied: Oh no, I would still love Eminem if I thought he was ugly because he is a lyrical genius which is what I meant! Really the man raps about two trailer park girls going round the outside and people eat it up....case in point he knows how to sell recrds and struck it rich quick! Dr. Dre has himself called Eminem a genius! I think that Jay-Z is ugly as sin, but I love him too, he is an awesome rapper! I admit some of his lyrics are very controversial and shouldn't be played on the radio..totally agree however for those who want to buy it and listen to it on their own radio...that is fine! What gets me is why people choose to pick on him, he was definitely not the first rapper to call a homosexual a derogatory word, not in the least! It's because he is different from other rappers that people hold onto his lyrics more. If you listen to some of his lyrics (like his newest release Toy Soldiers) he makes a lot of sense! What his message is, if you don't like me and think I am a bad influence on your kids and they do bad things becuase of me, look at yourself first, am I really the reason they are doing these things or is it your parenting skills....hmmmm makes me think too when I listen to something like that! People pick on him and dissect his lyrics way too much, he is by far not the most controversial rapper...ever heard Too Short's lyrics...what a freaking sexist pig! However I know people who have met him in person and they say he is the biggest gentleman! My point being..sorry for rambling I get off in 2 minutes and I am typing fast, they are people truying to make a dollar (a couple million dollars) and raise their families, they write about what sells and Eminem just delivers it flawlessly!!! IMHO!

AMEN!  Eminem IS a lyrical genius. i personally do not find him very attractive (maybe in a skinny white boy nerd kinda way  ) no offense to anyone.
as for his lyrics being controversial.. duh, that is what sells these days. why are jerry springer and howard stern so popular? it gets people's attention... it sells records. anyone who is gonna buy any record and take every lyric seriously needs to be in a padded room anyway and shouldn't be given a radio!
they took him as a joke in the beginning because he was a white boy trying to break into a black man's world! it had nothing to do with his talent. obviously Dre saw his potential and put him under his wing. now Eminem has his own label and a lot of success that he earned and deserves!
