Speaking of Easter - what's in the baskets?

coasterqueen wrote: Since we are going to be out of town next weekend, the weekend after that is Megan's birthday party and then it's Easter we are trying to get Easter bought for now.

This is what I'm going to put in their baskets this year. I'm going much more "minimal" than past years since it's so close to V-day and Megan's birthday. blush.gif

Both: silly putty, lip gloss, chocolate bunny, lifesaver book, little greenhouse garden set, watch.

Kylie: A webkinz

Megan: Some kind of little animal that makes sounds and moves when you feed it a bottle. I got it at Target last night and I have no clue on the name. blush.gif I wanted something close to a webkinz for her.

That's all that I plan to put in their basket. I'll put jelly beans and coins in their eggs that the bunny hides. happy.gif

Kaitlin'smom replied: dunno but I guess I need to think about it and get shoping before it creeps up to fast on me. March seems to be quite busy already

only things I know for sure are

swimsuit
a little candy
HS Musical 2

dunno what else yet

mckayleesmom replied: So far I have

Mckaylee
Miffy Diary
Miffy Gel Pens
Miffy markers
5 Pairs of character socks
Miffy Stamps
Some hair doo dads

They don't have as much for boys........On a side note....all the miffy stuff I got from Target for a dollar each.

3xsthefun replied: I have no clue. Haven't even thought about it yet. blush.gif

Calimama replied: Disney Princess dress up set
Children's bible

Maddie&EthansMom replied: Just some cookies and candy so far. tongue.gif

I really don't know what else to get them. I normally do swimsuits, but Maddie has a ton of swimsuits that I got on clearance last year. I might get her another webkinz.

I don't know what to get Ethan. I could use some ideas. happy.gif

kimberley replied: the webkinz is really for u, isn't it Karen rolling_smile.gif

i do the usually chocolates and spring stuff.. bubbles, sidewalk chalk, balls, skipping ropes. for K, we have those hollow eggs and put cereal, crackers and coins in them.

sparkys2boys replied: For Cameron

No idea what they are getting

Maybe socks, gitch, chocolate (cause that is just what Jack need)

Calimama replied:

coasterqueen replied:
laugh.gif well, maybe. blush.gif

A&A'smommy replied: hmm I dunno yet... probably just a little candy, and a some stuff for an art project or something no toys she has WAY too many!!

Boo&BugsMom replied: Tanner: Webkinz (polar bear), Transformers, Transformers book, star wars sword, Ben10 rocks, a few little cheap odds and ends

Aiden: T-shirt, Tadoodles crayons, truck, ball, book

A have to get a few more small things for Aiden yet, Tanner is done.

Sarah&Mackenzie replied: Mackenzie wants those blendy pens, so I have to find some. I also go her a Veggie Tales DVD. Probably an Easter book and some small stuff and minimal candy!

Our Lil' Family replied: Up until today I had nothing but a Chocolate Bunny ordered from a World's Finest fund raiser that we do every year.
Today at Target I picked up 2 puzzles and some bubble bath. I didn't have Easter on the mind but as I was unloading the bags I realized that I just added to his Easter basket! rolling_smile.gif

Anthony275 replied: i never knew so many people put gifts in the baskets???

Maddie&EthansMom replied:
Naomi you made me hungry for a World's Finest chocolate bar with almonds. I haven't seen one in years!! yummy.gif

holley79 replied:
Is that one of those Furreal friends?

coasterqueen replied:
Ooh, bubble bath - good idea. Too bad I'm done with the girls. tongue.gif

holley79 replied:
yummy.gif

OMG I haven't had their chocolate in forever.

MoonMama replied: I haven't even thought about it yet. wacko.gif rolling_smile.gif

I did however get him his Easter suit a couple weeks ago. thumb.gif

Boo&BugsMom replied:
When I was growing up I only got all chocolate and candy. It was great when I was young, laugh.gif but I don't want my kids to have all that junk. They get plenty from grandma and grandpa and other people. Tanner isn't a big junk food kid anyways, so he much prefers the little presents.

Brias3 replied: I haven't really prepared for Easter yet, but must start thinking about it, since its early this year!

I picked up a few things at Target last week but so far, just got the actual baskets, some chocolates, a bunny Pez dispenser each (standard each year laugh.gif ), some cute kids gardening things for Aliyah, a new soccer ball for Ryan and a book for each kid. Still need something for Mason and some small things for all three.

coasterqueen replied:
It might be. I'd have to look. blush.gif

booey2 replied: Not sure, but I saw some really cool looking baskets at Shoppers Drugmart yesterday, Sponge Bob themed. I may just pick them up, as the boys don't need anymore toys or stuff, and these had candy and chocolate in them. I will most likely get them a bathing suit or 2, especially Matt as he has outgrown everyone he has and Thomas is reaping the benefits of that, loving hand me downs.

Hubby may or may not go for the pre-made baskets but if I show him how much I would have spent making them he may go for them as they are cheaper.
