Speaking of Hair - How often and how much?

HuskerMom replied: Mine's free! My mom does it. I usualy don't do much to my hair outside of straightening it. So I just have my mom trim off the ends every so often. I'm thinking about getting highlights though maybe.

Kaitlin'smom replied: not as often as I woudl like but I try and let the color go longer than I should as well as the cut, maybe every 2-3 months with color, cut, wash, dry, style I think its about $110

stella6979 replied: I'm as cheap as they come, so I usually trim what I can for as long as I can. I'd say I get my hair cut maybe 3 or 4 times a year and it's always the same ole cut. Boring, I know.

Maddie&EthansMom replied: My cousin has a salon in Dallas. He does my hair every few months and only charges me $65 for whatever I want! I'm pretty lucky. I know what he charges his other customers.

Well since I am not colouring it anymore, wash cut and set is I think $30 or $40.

Our Lil' Family replied: I haven't cut my hair since October but I'm thinking it's time. I never color my hair, it's too pretty naturally. So a shampoo, cut and style is about $35.

I go about every 2 months, I do overall color at home then get about 10 foils every 2nd trip so anywhere between 50.00-100.00

hoosier momma replied: I get mine done every six weeks like clockwork. When I had a really short style it was every four weeks. My sister owns one of the best salons in my area and thankfully I get the family discount of $20 for everything no matter what it is. I do pay 1/2 price for all of my products though. For my usual foil highlight, cut, wash and style it would be in the neighborhood of $150. Needless to say, if it wasn't for my sis, I wouldn't get the works nearly as often.

Crystalina replied: I have not had my hair proff. done since before Evan was born and he's 3 now. I cut my own. It's a simple cut and so far so good. I was blonde for years so I was always getting that touched up but when Izabella came along I let my roots grow out (oh yea, and my butt too. ). I didn't want her to grow up seeing me always trying to change my hair color. I wanted her to love her brown hair.

coasterqueen replied: I go every 6 to 8 weeks, depending on whether I can stand my hair or not. I get all over color (not into the foiling, etc anymore on me), texturizing, trim, blow dry and style which costs me around $150. That is not including any products my gal gets me to buy. I never used to like spending the money, but I've decided it's my only treat so I'm taking it! I get a lot of GC given to me to the spa I'm going to now so I don't always have to pay for what I get done.

I give a 10 dollar tip, so that puts me at $130 unless I end up buying product.

ZandersMama replied: I have never got it done professionally. I get around to getting it cut maybe twice a year, costs me 13 dollars lol. I tip it up to 20$. Twice a year.

lovemykiddies replied: I haven't had mine cut in a while, because I'm growing it out to donate it. I always go someplace cheap though. I've never cared much about my hair.

luvmykids replied: It depends....I go when I need to which can be anywhere from 6 weeks to three months. If I feel like splurging I go to my friends mom for the works which runs close to $200. If I don't, I go to my SIL for color/highlight touch ups and a trim which is about $80. If I'm really being tight or can't get an appointment soon enough I'll do it myself, I've gotten pretty good at doing my own highlights but don't usually have the patience.

MyBrownEyedBoy replied: I have a standing appointment every 4 weeks. It takes more upkeep with shorter hair. And for the cut/blow dry it costs me $25. And I tip another $5. I have a coloring appointment in 2 weeks, I'll let you know what that ends up costing me.

TANNER'S MOM replied: I go every three months usually. Sometimes sooner if my bangs grow out to fast. Right now I am in the process of letting it grow so it's been awhile. I do my own color alot. But my best friend supervises and actually gets the color for me. She is a hair stylist. I might spend $20.00 every three months. But that is because she is my friend. Before her, I used to pay between 70 to 100..plus a tip.

But I just go to her house and we do a girls night.

I am about ready though....I want to go pretty short this time, but I'm still looking for a pic of a style that I really want.

DillsMommy replied: Wow, I guess mines pretty cheap. I pay $45 for cut, partial highlights, wash and style. I love the girl that does my hair, she always does a really good job, but it's not an upscale salon I guess thats why its so cheap. I usually go about every 6 weeks.

I used to just cut it myself though, and I bought boxed hair dyes whenever the mood struck.

Nina J replied: Not very often, and not very much. I'm trying to grow my hair out at the moment, but I'm going to get a trim soon..I like my natural hair color so I hardly ever get it dyed, but I do about once a year. Never a permenant though.

mom21kid2dogs replied: I'm on the "poor girl" plan. I go to Great Clips every 4-6 weeks and get it cut~usually with a $6.99 coupon. I color it myself. I used to be a high maintenece girl when I worked, though. It was nice!!!

kit_kats_mom replied: I get mine cut about every three months. Usually just a shampoo (our salon gives scalp massages during the shampoos that are to DIE FOR) cut and dry. I also get my brows done while I'm there. It's usually about 125.00 after tip.
