Mine is Olivia every year we drive around right before Christmas and look at the lights/decorations on people's houses - one year - she was maybe two we were in a particularly shall we say affluent neighborhood (not ours ) and there was this one house which was beautiful - very tastefully done - anyway Olivia pipes up from the back seat:
Olivia: Mommy you see that "youse" (translation - house)
Me: Yes Olivia I see it
Olivia: Mommy you like that "youse"
Me: Yes Olivia Mommy LOVES that house - its beautiful
Olivia: Mommy I buy it for you
Me:
lisar replied: That is so cute.
Raygen just the other day out of nowhere walks up to me and says
" OH CRAP I make daddy mad" He was at work but then I found out later it was cause she spilt her drink in the kitchen. I just thought it was so funny the way she said it.
Boo&BugsMom replied: Tanner has said quite a few things that made me crack up, not so much crack up, or puzzle me. One day he asked why God doesn't talk back. He went through a rhyming phase once and decided to rhyme with "mit" and "truck". Another time he flipped a bunch of people off at church so they could see his owie on his middle finger. One day he came home to tell us his girlfriend broke up with him...he is 5 remember. One morning as I was singing in church, the pre-k kids were in the balcony listening to the music and I hear "THAT'S MY MOMMY" really loud as I'm singing during service. He's my fan. My favorites are when he says I'm the bestest mommy ever, or when I drop him off at school he HAS to give me a hug and kiss and says I love you.
holley79 replied: Annika is starting to put together little sentences so everything that comes out of her mouth right now cracks me up. Lately it has been that I"m making her a cup of juice and she'll "No mama, Moo Moo" (Organic milk has a nice cow on the front of it. )
Calimama replied: Aww what a little sweetheart!!
bawoodsmall replied: Emily is always cracking me up. She is going to have a new girl cousin any day now and we were talking about how the baby gets here. She said that sometimes you go to the hospital and the cut your skin back and take the baby out and then put the skin back. I was like She is 4
Aiden cracks me up because he will continually say I want a cracka.(cracker) He will go to the pantry and get them. Ohh what a crackup
Oh all time best was when emily was 2 on Christmas morning she thought Abby(our dog) got all the presents for her and she was running around going oh Thank YOu Abby. It still brings tears to my eyes.
flirtycuddle replied: My daughter is talking in sentances and she'll come up to right after she's done somthing wrong and say"Mommy I made mess. Im so sorry" My son is just learning to talk nad my daughter used to run around saying "oh God" and my sons first phrase was when he stepped in some water and blurted "Oh God" I had to double take to make sure it was him.
moped replied: Like when I am very mad at him and comes up says we should hug and then says "Your skin is so soft mommy".......ARG.......LOL
Or, the christmas tree is magical
Or you look beautiful mommy
Or maybe we should get that for my baby sister Sugar........he calls her Sugar.
bawoodsmall replied: How cute that he calls her sugar. The love of a child..nothing like it.
luvmykids replied: Gosh, there are so many, I can't even think. Colt comes up with zingers all the time, I need to write them down so I don't forget But one of my faves is when he says his prayers at night and says "And thank you for letting mommy be MY mommy"
Macie mispronounces stuff that cracks me up...it's not "if", it's "gif", and it's not a "sandwich", it's a "snagwich"
Kylie gets me laughing when she imitates me to Colt & Macie...tells them "Are you done playing with that? Then what do you do with it?" or "Eat your veggies, just because you don't like them doesn't mean they'll kill you"
luvmykids replied: Oh yeah, Kylie told me one day that her and a boy "broke up" and a few days later told him she likes him better as an ex boyfriend
And the day Colt so sincerely and woefully said, "Mom, I think I love her" about a little girl at school. It reminded me of Charlie Brown and the redheaded little girl
Kentuckychick replied: What a sweetheart!
Kids really do say some of the funniest things.
My dad was forever getting annoyed this summer because the squirrels would eat the tomatoes off his vines out back. Well the other day there was a cat out lurking under the bird feeder so my mom went flying out the door to chase it off and Connor went running after her saying, "That d*mn squirrel!!"
Then a few weeks back we were sitting at lunch and it had started raining outside. He ran over to the window and looked out and sighed and said, "oh h*ll... it's rainin' outside"
we can blame his mommy for that one!
Kentuckychick replied:
The little girl I nanny for, who's now 7, only just started saying the word "with" correctly. It was "mif" for years. "I want to go mif 'em!"
That and instead of hot dog it was "hock dog" and she still says "pupcakes" for cupcakes regardless of how many times I have told her the word is CUPcake. It's not that she's mispronouncing it... she thinks that's the word and her mom encourages it because it's "cute"
lovemy2 replied: Oh yeah - they way they butcher words is always good -
Olivia:
Robe it Rove
Chocolate its Choclick
Ketchup is Kepup
She has corrected most of them now but they sure are funny..
And Jen - Jack calls baby girl SUGAR
Olivia calls Dylan Dilly Pickles
