Spotting after "the Deed"? - ***a little TMI****

Boys r us wrote: Is this normal, I can't remember it happening before.

Last night I went to the bathroom afterwards and I had some pink-ish red blood on the TP. It wasn't like gushing out or anything and I don't think it would have gotten on my clothes if I hadn't noticed it..but it was enough that it continued to color the paper anytime I went to the bathroom to check for about a 30 minute time period thereafter. I couldn't sleep at all last night worrying and I told Rick he's CUT OFF until further notice! I just don't want anything to happen, I can't take it again. But anyhow, this morning everything seemed fine..no trace of color on the TP and I've been checking frequently all day today and nothing. So as of now everything seems fine, I'm just wondering if I should hang up the hanky panky for a while or if this is somewhat normal?!?

BTW I was a little nausated today for the 1st time which was a welcomed sign after last night!

coasterqueen replied: Well as you know with my pregnancy with Megan I spotted from day one, sometimes big clots of blood (sorry TMI) and she's here with me. wub.gif BUT when I went to the doctor they cut off the hanky panky almost my entire pregnancy. So IMO I'd stop until you've seen your doctor to be sure. My doctor was VERY cautious during my pg with all the spotting I had. If I was you I'd take it extra easy as well wink.gif. hug.gif hug.gif

gr33n3y3z replied: It happend to me also
I held off until I saw or talked to the Dr while I was pg

Going through that now but I'm not preggo

mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: Sounds normal Nichole. If you're not bleeding today or having any pain, I say it's fine. I had that before when PG with Wil (just pink). Your cervix may be a bit lower and maybe it just got hit a bit too hard, kwim?

I'm just so excited for you guys! hug.gif

MomToJade&Jordan replied: I agree with Karen. You might want to stop the hanky panky for a bit. I think that it can cause some spotting, but I would stop to be sure.

Halo42101 replied: It sounds like spotting. If it gets worse and is associated with cramps or clotting (sorry), check in with your obgyn a.s.a.p. I pray that you & your baby will be okay. I worried too when I started bleeding but went to get checked this Monday just to be sure the baby is okay and he/she is. They said bleeding can be normal in early pregnancy. I try not to worry so much because I know it's not good for the baby. Blessings of peace, health and comfort to you in your pregnancy.

Hugs & love from,

Cece00 replied: Its probably just irritation from your cervix or something. I had that once with my last pregnancy, it was VERY little, Dr said it was nothing.

Or, you could've torn a little...not in a way to damage the baby. I know I've had little tears (more than once) from rigorous sex with DH. No big deal.

ilovemybaby replied: I think you will be ok. If it was red and didn't go away then I would worry. And the nausea is a good sign.

CantWait replied: Ok I'll try and not get into TMI. I'm not pregnant and haven't been for awhile, however sometimes "after" I also spot. Without being to personal, did you guys do it for a long time? Was it at all rough? Deep? Ok I'm going to stop now. Just wanted to let you know that it does happen for me on a normal occasion. unsure.gif

TeagansMom609 replied: I had spotting after sex in the beginning too. When you have sex it pokes at your cervix, much like when you get an exam at the Dr. They always told me after an internal that I might have some spotting afterwards. Totally normal. I even had a period when I was 7 weeks pregnant.

My2Beauties replied: I remember spotting when I had Hanna as well, about the 9th week. They told me not to have any hanky panky until I could come in for an u/s. The difference is mine kept on, it didn't stop for about 1 week. Mine wasn't pinkish after the first time it was brown, like old blood (sorry if TMI) but it started out pink and after some nookie. So when I had the u/s they determined I had placenta previa (she said it's commo in the 1st trimester) and said 8 weeks w/ no sex. After the 8 weeks I came in for another u/s and everything was fine.

Oh yeah and don't do what I did, if this is possibly what you could have (which I highly doubt it, because mine continued) please don't go on the internet like I did, at first the doctor had failed to tell me it was normal before I left the office in the first trimester so when I looked it up all I could find were terrible stories about premature babies and women bleeding to death with it and all sort of awful stuff. I had to call the doctor's office because I was so frantic - they told me A) never look at the internet for my info and cool.gif that it was a common thing and would more than likely go away! It did! hug.gif hug.gif I am so happy for you guys Nichole. Don't stress about it, just call your doc and see what they say! hug.gif

Edward's Mommy replied: When I was 11 weeks pregnant with Edward, I was having heavy bleeding like Aunt Flo was visiting and I thougth I was having a miscarriage. So I went to the ER and found out that I have a bicornate uterus. But I heard that spotting is more normal than most women think it is. I found out that even if I had a normal uterus, I would probably still have spotting.
