Stencils?
stella6979 wrote: Ok, so we've finally decided to paint Avery's room but I'm having trouble finding what I need. She has blue carpet so we thought an underwater theme would be neat, but I can't find any stencils for any of the sea creatures. I have absolutely no artistic ability so I just need some patterns I can trace. Any ideas where I can find something like that?
luvbug00 replied: try michales or somtimes at home depot or somthing they might have it. or maybe walmarts craft section? I'd try for the kiddie craft area of the store. and that's all i can think of..sorry.
stella6979 replied: I never even thought to check those stores. I've just been checking on line. Thanks Nadia.
luvbug00 replied: what we did for mya's room was buy from michaels some flat wooden shapes and then stenceled arround them and then painted them in by hand. ( if you have the time for that) her room looks like

sorry so big..
stella6979 replied: That's a great idea! Thanks so much! I love Mya's room by the way. I wish I had a room like that when I was little.
Boo&BugsMom replied: I was thinking the same thing...wishing I had a room like that when I was little.
You could try a paint specialty place, like Sherwin Williams. Walmart has a pretty good selection of stencils as well.
stella6979 replied: Walmart seems to be the word on the street. LOL! Thanks Jennie, I will be heading there this weekend.
Calimama replied: Michael's! I just some cute underwater stuff!!
Nadia, Mya's room is great!
stella6979 replied: Really? Well son of gun, it looks like I'll be heading to Michael's first. Thanks everyone!
luvbug00 replied: for paint check the rejected colors. the pink on mya's wall cost us $5 for a gallon bucket.
the purple i got a michaels as craft paint.
Ps. Painting was lars's idea and he did most of it. Mya adores it.
stella6979 replied: Awwww.....that was super nice of him. Maybe he could come do Avery's room for me. LOL! Thanks again Nadia!
hoosier momma replied: If you have Menard's there I saw some there recently. And, they had a great border that you could cut creatures out from and put them on the wall instead of painting them.
Mommy2Isabella replied: Mya's room is WAY COOL for a little kid, Im jealous!!
I would check at a local craft store, Michaels or A.C. Moore < I was there today and saw some ...
