Still a Seminoles Fan

I know a few "fair weather fans" and I willl not join the ranks of them.  This is the worst season for the head coach of Florida State Bobby Bowden, since his start back in 1975 or '76. FSU is at 4-4. But he is still proud to be head coach to them, I am proud to be a fan as well.

C&K*s Mommie replied:  Sad too that in the beginning of the season I heard non-stop talk about Jeff Bowden needing to be pulled from the box as offensive coordinator, now the talk is of Bobby Bowden retiring. I hope he does not, unless his health fails him, I think that he plans to leave at the top of the 'Noles game, not at the bottom where they are right now.

Under any other circumstance Amy Nicole, you will never hear me utter these words... but..... Go Gators! (gotta love the rivalry)
Oh and I accept the butt whoopin early from Florida against FSU come Nov 25th. It is simply inevitable , just keep the whoopin to a minimum, though. 
cboo70 replied: I have been lurking here for awhile, but was so excited to see this post!!! I am a diehard FSU fan whether they win or lose. I am a Nole through and through and glad to see there are others here, too.
I hope Bobby doesn't retire. He still has some good years left! The team is VERY young this year so I am hoping that has a lot to do with it, but it is hard to watch this lackluster season.

I'm diehard as well. I graduated from FSU in 2001 so I was here when they won their last national championship.
I just can't abandon them when they're down. I've always said that I bleed garnet and gold.
I don't want coach to retire either, but some things are going to have to happen before we can return to pur past glory.
I cannot however root for the Gators.  Sorry Amy my hatred for everything blue and orange is deep seated.
My Ex husbands family are all WVU fans ( he is not) and since I still love them all I am going to hope that they continue to do well.

Yes, things need to change, but I don't think putting Bobby out to pasture is the answer - yet. Do I think Jeff needs to go? Yes, I have thought that for awhile. They needed to replace Mark Richt with somebody GOOD the second he left.
I, too, bleed garnet and gold. When I was at FSU, there was a GREAT t-shirt that I still have around. The 1989 season, everybody we played had orange (Auburn, UF, UM, Syracuse, Clemson, you name it) so somebody made shirts that were really cool and said, "Real Men Don't Wear Orange!"
My dh is a Tennessee fan and I tell him this all the time.

Yes Jeff has to go. I've been saying it for years. He just isn't what our offense needs. He's to conservative when we need a big play, and some of his calls are just really bad.
As for Bobby he has pulled it off before so I will continue to have faith that he will do it again.

C&K*s Mommie replied: I was thinking about this topic last night, and thought I hope my post about "Go Gators" was not misconstrued that I was rooting for them to beat us, or rooting for them period.  I never have, and never will rooted for the Gators.
But Amy Nicole roots for them, & I supported her in rooting for them. Just as I supported Crystal with the Buckeyes.

Actually, I could care less about football, but I have a bunch of very good friends who all attended there and played for the team.
MomToJade&Jordan replied: Oh no Nicole I didn't think that at all. I was basically telling Amy that I loath the Gators. LOL! Her team is winning and that's great. In fact our neighbor is a Gator fan and has his flag flying all the time. We always tell him how unfortunate that is, but it's all in jest.
