Strange Question for PC

TheOaf66 wrote: This has nothing to do with parenting but does anyone know of a nice way to repel squirrels w/o shooting them. I have squirrels that I fed this winter and now they are burying their nuts in my mulch I just put in. I don't want to cast them away completely or kill them, just keep em outta my mulch. Does anyone have any good ideas?

lisar replied: Without shooting them no I am no help. Try and Google it....

C&K*s Mommie replied: off subject, there are some things (e.g. my post about Theories on life) that do not have to do with parenting at all. But it makes for a good break to think about non-parenting things once in awhile. smile.gif

We have two of those, but they do not have any claws.

Not sure live traps would work since there are sooooooo many of them. It also doesn't help that Oaf feeds them during the winter, and so does our neighbor behind us dry.gif .

they're my buddies

MyBrownEyedBoy replied: I think I read somewhere that certain flowers act as deterrents to squirrels. You could google it, and I would assume that since the flowers would be dead during the winter, you could still feed your little buddies. LOL. emlaugh.gif

Just like your grandmother!

Boo&BugsMom replied:
I wonder if that is why they don't go in the flower beds, and only the play yard area...it's mulched in for the kids. That is where they dig...grrrr.

MyBrownEyedBoy replied: You could try this. It's a pellet thing based on the smell of foxes.

Also they say mothballs work (but not really safe with kids) and cayenne pepper.

gr33n3y3z replied: certain flowers and I think they make pellets also

siblingtoolivia replied: Moth Balls, they don't look the greatest but they work tongue.gif
