Stupid Nickelodeon

kit_kats_mom wrote: What are they thinking? Honestly, getting kids addicted to Go Diego Go and then not having it on at all over the weekend?!!? Grrrrrr. All I've heard today is "can we watch go diego go mom? I've been a good girl". How do I explain to her that out of 1000 channels, go diego isn't on a single one of them for 48 hours?

I did let her play on the website and she had fun with the Go Diego games and videos but it's not enough. It's like giving a virgin daquri to an alcoholic.

It's gonna be a long weekend. sad.gif

A&A'smommy replied: rolling_smile.gif rolling_smile.gif OMG lol I know that is aggravating!! are they out on dvd yet? That is what we do we bought dvds of her fav shows for emergencies rolling_smile.gif

~Roo'sMama~ replied: Lol! Poor K. Getting the dvd's is a good idea - it's pretty new show though isn't it. I wonder if it out yet. tongue.gif

MomToMany replied: rolleyes.gif I made the mistake of letting Hannah watch it. Now all I hear is "Is Diego on now Mom?" 1,000,000 times a day.

I do think it's better than Dora (or as DH calls her & how Hannah USED to call her) "Dorky Dora", LOL!

Jamison'smama replied: Thank God for TiVO

MyBlueEyedBabies replied: DVR's are wonderful. We have 4 hours of Franklin and 4 hours of Blues CLues saved so no matter what time or day she can watch her favorites.

amynicole21 replied:
My sentiments exactly. We had 3 blissful episodes of quiet yesterday while Sophia watched mesmorized. rolleyes.gif

ediep replied: thats what I was going to say "Tivo baby!"

I couldn't live without it anymore!!

kit_kats_mom replied: bawling.gif I don't have tivo yet. bawling.gif Since I rarely watch TV anymore, DH decided that the NFL Sunday ticket would be a more beneficial use of finances for the family at this time. blush.gif

julesmom replied: My 5yr old loves that show. He has been asking for a red eyed tree frog since the first week of school since he's been so good at school. I asked how he knows about that frog and he said Diego has them! Silly me. rolling_smile.gif

So, today we bought him and his bro 2 firebelly frogs. I don't know if they are tree frogs or not. rolleyes.gif We got home and dh asked who ds's friend was that had the frogs. I said What? DH says, "He said Diego has frogs. Has he seen this kids' frogs?" rolling_smile.gif

I had to explain who Diego was. rolleyes.gif It was so funny. rolling_smile.gif

julesmom replied: I have a different vent about Nick. That kid who dances and says, "put your hands in the air like you just don't care". What is up with that?

My 5yr old has been doing that. I told him I don't want to see or hear that. But, wth is Nick thinking? mad.gif

luvbug00 replied: Where was that one?

Great message... dry.gif

Mommy2BAK replied: Hey, Go Diego Go come on Saturday mornings in CBS. They have a time slot on CBS that is Nick Jr. We watched it this morning blush.gif

mckayleesmom replied: LOL....dh just came home yesterday from the on post pharmacy and said...."did you know that Dora has a spin off show?".....He said that they had it blasting in the pharmacy tv and he couldn't wait to get out of there before he went crazy. rolling_smile.gif

coasterqueen replied:
do you have cable? they'll give you a dvr which is just like tivo but I think dvr's record the commercials and tivo don't. not sure. but I LOVE our dvr, we don't pay a monthly fee for it like tivo so it works better for us.

we have "on demand" with our cable so we get a lot of episodes of kids shows 24/7 which is nice.

Haven't seen Go Diego Go. We usually stick to PBS these days or Noggin. Used to be Disney. Kylie goes through phases.

kit_kats_mom replied: nope. We have sattelite. They have them but they aren't free and you have to pay a monthly subscription fee. Maybe when football season is over tongue.gif

CantWait replied: LOL tongue.gif That's too funny. Poor child.

Sunflower04 replied:
It's only 4.99 a month

3_call_me_mama replied:
DITTO! That's what I was gonna say. DVR is absolutely WONDERFUL:) Adn that way we can pick what episode we watch, cuase they seem to play the same episode over adn over on TV sometimes.
