Swingtown - Who is going to watch it?

moped wrote: I can't wait!!!!!!

My3LilMonkeys replied: I'm very iffy based on the commercials - I don't watch much TV these days (aside from reality shows which I am obsessed with!). I'll probably give it a try at least.

moped replied: It starts right now here - lets chat about it after biggrin.gif

My3LilMonkeys replied: I didn't realize it was on already - glad you mentioned it! I'll let you know what I think!

My3LilMonkeys replied: Well, I've determined already that this show is not for me - I'm enjoying the music but just can't get into the storylines!

moped replied: So far I like the music tongue.gif

moped replied: Yep I will enjoy it - good summer show to watch!!!!!!

grandma replied:
I wanted to watch it, but then a special came on about Marand Lambert and I couldn't turn it off.
So was it good? I hope to catch a rerun.

Brias3 replied: I really liked it! Despite the storyline, it was even more over the edge than I thought it was going to be though. Definitely good IMO- I'll tune in next week to see if I can get into the show some more, so we'll see...

boyohboyohboy replied: I wont be watching it, it goes against everything I believe. I personally think that tv has just gone to far. Its sad that its ratings that keep these things going...entertainment is not what it used to be.

~Roo'sMama~ replied:
ITA! I definitely won't be watching it.

my2monkeyboys replied: I started to watch it, but couldn't get into it. I also didn't realize what it was going to be about. No need for me to watch it - my BF and her hubby are swingers... I can get details from them if that's what I need. wink.gif

I can't talk bad about trash TV though - I love Big Love (it comes on HBO). I would prefer that they put shows like this on a cable channel as opposed to regular tv.

Danalana replied: Definitely won't be watching it. I can't believe TV has come to this.

moped replied: I am not saying I believe in it at all - I do not, but I enjoy watching drama on tv so I will enjoy watching!!!!!!!

Our Lil' Family replied:
ITA!!!!!!!!

Danalana replied: Oh, I love drama too! And comedy! I just wish they could come up with some better stuff, that's all. I pretty much just watch reruns on lifetime and Nick at Nite, LOL!

grandma replied:
Well, different strokes for different folks!
I love watching shows that cover periods of my life and let's face it...thing's happened in the 60's-70's!
Not everyone lived in a white picket fenced house. wink.gif

moped replied:
Totally - I have always been interested in that era...I was born in 1971

Danalana replied: I agree with that too...nobody's perfect, that's for sure. I guess I just don't want to watch something that I don't want my mind to begin to dwell on eventually. Cause I totally think things like that have the power to do it. But maybe that's just me cool.gif

coasterqueen replied: OMG, I had no idea that was what that show was about. Nope - won't be watching it. Ick!

Danalana replied: Karen, with all the abbreviations people use, I was trying to figure out "Ick" laugh.gif Wow, I am a dork.

moped replied: It does have a story line to it........

Anyways, I was just saying it is an interesting era and I really liked it.

coasterqueen replied:
laugh.gif You are not a dork wink.gif happy.gif

lisar replied: I never heard of it before now.

Crystalina replied: They started showing previews for it on ET and I almost broke my ankle trying to get to the clicker to change the channel. ohmy.gif Both kids were still awake. I doubt I'll watch that one. happy.gif

Danalana replied: Crystal, this would be a bad time to break an ankle! Be careful biggrin.gif

grandma replied:
lol - you're a year younger than my oldest son.
I was married in 1969...times were different.

moped replied:
But I bet they were good times

grandma replied:
I'm really glad I grew up during that time! Things have just changed so much - those were the good ole' days!

A&A'smommy replied: yuck I honestly thought it was another dance show blush.gif but omg no i wont watch the show. That very reason is why some people in our group of friends are no longer our friends rolleyes.gif

tammyhopkins replied: I loved it. I will be watching again. I don't agree with it but it is still good tv IMO

grandma replied:
Well since I didn't see it, let me ask...is it about swinging and nothing else? Surely it's more than that...lol

tammyhopkins replied: LOL it looks like from the first episode it has more of a story line to it than just swinging tongue.gif

DillsMommy replied: I watched it last night. I'm more shocked that it's a series on CBS. To me--it seems more appropriate for Cinemax or HBO. I'm kinda interested though--I'll probably watch it again. At least it's on late enough that the kids are already in bed. tongue.gif

luvmykids replied: I can't really claim the moral issue here considering DH is all about things I don't condone or practice and I love that show laugh.gif but I won't watch this one because I have no interest in it and because like Mandy said, I really think it's sad that this is whats on "regular" tv. What happened to family programming?

HuskerMom replied:
Ditto.
