Talking on the phone in Kindy?
luvmykids wrote: I am astounded at how many phone calls Kylie gets I can't believe it starts so early these days. I don't let her return most of the calls, there is only one little girl I let her talk to b/c she goes to a different school and they don't get to see each other very often but for the love of Pete
When do you think you'll start letting your kids talk?
On a funny side note, this girl Kylie does get to talk to has a brother in first grade and Colt was talking to him. Kylie wanted to talk to him and Colt said "She wants to talk to you because she loooooooooves you" She screamed and started chasing him so he's running through the house saying "She loves you, she loves you, she's your girlfriend, she thinks you're cute" and she is chasing him screaming that he is the meanest brother she's ever had I told her he's the only brother she has, she said "Well then it doesn't take much for him to be the meanest, does it?" Oy, I can't imagine when they're teenagers
mckayleesmom replied: LOL....so funny.
:.Mrs_Mommy.: replied: Lily is in 1st grade and she has 2 girls she talks to about 3-4 times a week. They are in her class and she will get on the phone and talk to them after school. The numbers are in my cell phone.
It is really cute watching her walk around the house with a phone attached to her ear.
Aaron has a little friend he would like to call but keeps forgetting the number. He's in 2nd grade.
mom21kid2dogs replied: Olivia has been in love with the phone since she was 2. We haven't answered the phone in years. It's really handy that she now reads the caller ID and screens all our calls. That being said~she was never one to be satisfied to just talk on the phone for no reason. She will call a friend to arrange a playdate but she doesn't stay on much after the intial asking. Too funny Kylie and her buddies are in love with it already!!! I see a private line in her future!!
redchief replied: I might let them start talking on the phone next year.

Calimama replied: Oh goodness!!! Again, at that age I thought they had cooties..
luvmykids replied: Thank HEAVENS there aren't boys calling for Kylie....I'd have to disconnect the phone before I let her talk to boys
But I'm already seeing a glimpse of the future...Colt's friends call and want to talk to Kylie after they're done talking to him
Brias3 replied: Oh gosh, Aliyah gets calls ALL the time! Depending on the time of day, I'll let her take them, but seriously. When did this whole phone thing start so EARLY?
Nina J replied: Oh thats cute. I wouldn't mind, its not like it is expensive to make a phone call if it is not for a far away place.
sparkys2boys replied: Ummm Mon, it's only going to get worse..lol!!
Boo&BugsMom replied: It must be a girl thing. We don't have that issue. During the vacation breaks he will get a few calls and I will let him call a few friends to say Merry Christmas, or whatever, but that's about it.
Now emailing...he does email back and forth a bit to a few friends.
lisar replied: Well Lexi gave out our phone number to some of her friends. I didnt mind when she told me but apparently dh thinks she is to young. Cause when someone called he told them in a nice way that Lexi wasnt allowed to talk on the phone yet.
Kaitlin'smom replied: Kaitlin has always been obsessed with the phone, she calles relitives now, she wants to call her friends but I am not sure how other parent woudl be on the issue.
My2Beauties replied: Well Hanna is 4 and right now the only person she talks to are her grandparents and Woo-Woo which is my dad's girlfriend's grandson, that's her playmate when she visits dad in Alabama. But whens he talks to them the girl doesn't stop Now Desiree is 12 and I think it started around 9 or 10 and just this past year it's gotten bad She sleeps with her phone next to her She texts like it's going out of style, I mean at 5:30 am (when she wakes up for school) these kids are texting each other I don't even want people to call me before 11 am
