it was a heck of a day but we survived..power was out from 7am until 8:15pm...it was totally crazy..not to mention on and off pouring rain all day long..the whole state (all islands) were without power so no street lights, majority of places closed, made for a VERY long day! i kept thinking they would get our power up by evening so i didn't pack anything or try and dig up more flashlights and supplies so i bathed the kids and at 7pm headed up to dh's work..they at least were on a generator and the building has a/c..the kids crashed out within 1/2 hour of being there then finally our power got turned back on and we headed home..
