Tanner's First Day of K - :(

Boo&BugsMom wrote: I've been ok, I haven't cried yet, which I am surprised. But, I have been a little sad. Our house is so quiet. It's weird. I actually went grocery shopping today!!! During the DAYTIME! Something I have not done since I opened the childcare 3 years ago. This is odd. Anyways, here are some pics of his first day...

stella6979 replied: Awwwww.....he looks so happy to be going to school. I'm sure it's tough seeing him all "grown up", but I bet he'll have a great time. Just try and keep busy and he'll be home before you know it. biggrin.gif

gr33n3y3z replied: he looks great
I say the kids look better then the parents in that pic LOL

lisar replied: He looks so happy to be there. I hope his first day is great.

Crystalina replied: How did you not cry? I cried my eyes out when Izabella started. I put her on the bus (they said to on the first day blink.gif ) and all the other mothers at the bus stop said my tears brought back memories. rolling_smile.gif

I feel bad for the little boy behind Tanner in the 5th pic. sad.gif I bet mom had a real bad day. bawling.gif

Calimama replied: Aww he looks so proud!! hug.gif

Boo&BugsMom replied:
Yep, there was that boy and another little girl bauling their eyes out. I think I didn't tear up because I had already sent him to Kindergarten Kamp during the summer. I have been sad all day though. It's weird not only that Tanner is gone all day, but now I don't have my daycare anymore either. At one time I had 7 kids here...now I only have Aiden. I have been wondering all day what he's been up to though. I wish I could be a fly on the wall in his room.

BAC'sMom replied: Awww I know it’s bittersweet but he will be fine. I can remember the first day my oldest son started school I cried like a baby. Then when I went to go get him that afternoon he didn’t want to leave huh.gif Now that hurt!

We are here for you hug.gif

lovemy2 replied: Aww he looks so happy - I will be there tomorrow - hope his first day goes great - KUP hug.gif

holley79 replied: He's all growed up. bawling.gif

MommyToAshley replied: Wow... he looks like such a big boy! He looks eager and ready to go!

hug.gif Hugs to you Mom.

Let us know how his first day went.

Crystalina replied:
I told DH that in 2007 you would think they would have cameras in the rooms so you could pull up on the computer and see what they are doing. DH said that's a bit creepy and it's a sure sign of a "way too attached" parent. rolling_smile.gif I think it is a great idea to be able to pull up your kids classroom whenever you wanted. There would have to be safety measures like a password to log in and then change it every year so you can't spy on kids who don't belong to you. I don't see what it would hurt.

MyBabeMaddie replied: Aww wub.gif He looks soo handsome! Congrats Tanner!

Boo&BugsMom replied:
As a teacher I would hate that, but as a parent I would LOVE IT! laugh.gif

moped replied: So good - he is going to be great............he is too cute and grown up looking!

mom21kid2dogs replied: wub.gif Such a handsome Kindergarten guy!! wub.gif
Looks like it was an easy transition for him (thus making it easier for mom!) Here's to a great first year of school!!! bigtup.gif

My3LilMonkeys replied: thumb.gif He looks great! How did his first day go?

Boo&BugsMom replied: First day went well. He told us all about it. He looked so tuckered out though. He just laid on the couch after he got home and was in bed by 7:30, totally knocked out. Hopefully he'll get use to it soon. He had a big ole smile on his face though when he was talking about his day when I came to pick him up. smile.gif

stella6979 replied: By the way, doesn't it rock to shop during the daytime!? The stores are never crowded and the check out is always so quick. It just always seems so peaceful during the day, and I enjoy that when I'm grocery shopping. smile.gif

Boo&BugsMom replied:
Heck ya!!! I noticed that right away...BONUS! biggrin.gif

BAC'sMom replied: Glad to hear he a great day biggrin.gif

It will get easier Momma hug.gif

My oldest started Jr. High this year sad.gif
