My3LilMonkeys replied: I don't. I am very fair skinned and don't really tan, my only colors are white and red. Plus I wanna be careful about skin cancer - I have enough moles that are prime suspects for future cancer without inviting any more.

luvmykids replied: Oh boy did I love to tan. I don't anymore the traditional way, I use Mystic Tan now because I'm starting to prune! But a tan definitely makes you feel good! I used to go at lunch and I swear I had the best power naps in the beds!

I have tried the Mystic tan a few times for its more immediate and safe results but I do keep up a tanning package at a local place so I can tan when I want to. My mom still harps on me about it because of the dangers but I usually only go to places that offer the UV-free beds or the ones that block the UVB rays.

MM'sMama replied: NO WAY! NEVER! I use Jergins (sp?) Natural Glow instead! Much better for your skin.

I think it's good in moderation.

And I've tried using those bottle tans, and I streeked so bad, I was the joke of the town for a few weeks. Never do that again.

Pam, this is me as well. I used to fret about being so white when I was in highschool and have tanned a bit in highschool and a few times since for vacations, etc. I came to the conclusion if this world doesn't like me white then that's their thing. I refuse to be vain and tan so I don't get made fun of. Sure I'd feel better if I was tan, but I've let go of that and just decided to like me for me. I was given this skin and I'll live with it the way it is. NOW if I had money laying around all the time I might consider getting spray on tan, but I don't so I'll just stay white.

My parents and my sister all tan because they think they look better tan. My sister is 6 years younger than me and her skin looks leathery, same for my parents. I'll let them keep their look. They'll regret it one day .

Mom2BNTN replied: I feel so much better about myself when I have a tan. Wonder why that is? Anyway, I haven't started tanning this year, but I hope to start soon. I think I may also try out the Jergen's Natural Glow lotion as well though since I don't want to spend too much time in the tanning bed when I can be at home with Dylan.

punkeemunkee'smom replied: I was not fond of the Mystic Tan when it starts to fade I looked like I had leprosy I love to tan but I can't take Tay with me so it is out. I have to start off very slow like 3 minutes in the bed It takes about a month for me to be able to build up to the full 20 minutes....I have a ton of freckles BUT ITA that tan fat is much better looking than white fat!

TANNER'S MOM replied: Well I am pretty tan..not quite Jen.. but close. I love it. I know it's not the best for Skin Cancer..but I have adult acne..and it almost completely clears it up and dries it out. I love the way my skin looks so clean and tan!
