Target's BFing Policy - I didn't know this...

ZandersMama replied: Thats awsome every store should be like that. I 'll keep that in mind when my new one comes, it gets to a point where i'll only shop in stores that allow moms to feed their babies.

MyLuvBugs replied: Yep! My mom has been working at Target since I was in college....so almost 8 years now. She works the fitting room, and is ALWAYS letting BFing mommas in there to feed. However, when I was living in CA and was BFing Lorelei, I had a confrontation with the fitting room lady at a Target b/c she wouldnt' let me use a room unless I was trying something on.... little did she know I knew the store/company policies.

Boo&BugsMom replied: To be honest, I would think it would be somewhat illegal...well, maybe just offensive, if someone was told they couldn't BF in their store or public property. It's natural. Anyone who has a big deal with it needs to get over it. Every woman I have seen BF has been very discreet about it too. It's not like many of us just whip our boobs right out there for everyone to see. Yay Target! I've always liked their stores.

It was either Famous Barr or Bergners that kicked me out of the dressing room one time for feeding Kylie. It was before I was comfortable NIP and so I went to a dressing room that wasn't busy and the lady kicked me out of there because I wasn't trying on or buying clothes.

Oh I totally agree. BFing in public should not be a big deal, but it is. I think this should be policy in all places of business.

theluckiest018 replied: I was at Target last week and asked to use a fitting room to feed my son.. the girl gave me one of the large family fitting rooms and said that I could bring my cart and everything in with me. I thought it was awesome that they were so accommodating.
