mom21kid2dogs replied: I really wanted an ankle tatoo, too, but my husband was not a big fan of the plan. I totallt canned the idea when the passed a work policy stating all tatoos had to be covered while at work.

Kirstenmumof3 replied: It was so AWESOME! Sorry to have kept you all in suspense, but I just got home! It didn't really hurt, it just felt really wierd. I had a friend come with me. Anyway, my friend had to leave after they did the outlining, so she missed me almost passing out. NOT FUN! The Tattoo Artist was asking me what colour I wanted in the centre of the flower and when I sat up to look at the colours he had, I saw him working on my tattoo, felt a little light headed and laid back down on the table. WHAT A RUSH! I want another one, this time on my forearm. I don't know of what though. They couldn't get the tattoo all the way around my ankle/leg so there is room at the back where I am going to get 3 leaves drawn with the kids initials and the year of there births put in. I can't wait to show everyone! I have to keep the bandage on until tomorrow. I have this whole list of instructions on how to care for it! I'll post pictures as soon as I can!

Mommy2BAK replied: That is so awesome! I have a tattoo on my lower back of a pink flower with green leaves around it. I agree they are addicting, once you get your first one, it isn't as hard to get more I guess. I can't wait to see the final product.

I am like you, I actually didn't think it hurt too bad, but I guess it all depends on where you get it. I got mine done with my best friend and I was the lucky one who got to go first so I had to sit there and smile the whole time so she wouldn't chicken out. LOL

So, I promised myself a tattoo for my 30th birthday. Well, I'm 38 now and I still don't have one. I've gone through several ideas... my favorite one being a head-on shot of a race bike at full lean on my lower back ... I have a wonderful sketch of one somewhere that is all bold, curvey lines - it would translate well into a tattoo.

I'm curious... why couldn't they get the tattoo all the way around your ankle? I love your solution, but being a tattoo virgin, I don't understand the problem.

Its interesting to hear the different ways people ar eotld to care for there tatto, I had to leave the bandage on for one hour then light wash every couple hour, i was told the best thing was to let it breeth, all of mine have healed nicly and usully fully heal in about 1 week.

I am to wondering why the could got get it all around your ankle?
