It's a bit of a wait to have the actual tatoo itself done, so the sooner I go and look, the sooner it will get done. I want to get some kind of ivy around my ankle and then later have the kids names on 3 of the leaves.

I'm a little suprised at how many of us have them. LOL I come from a family of "decorated" people so it was nothing for me to do it. I did get mine put in more private places than my mom. She has one on her wrist, one on her hip & one on the curve of a breast. They are beautiful, done by one of the best tatoo artists in Hawaii, but I wanted mine to be more private.

EDIT-Forgot to say where: on lower left back-right within the bikini line so it's not for the public. I wanted to have a permanent but private tribute.

coasterqueen replied: WOW! Everyone has a tattoo! LOL. I do not have one and never will. DH and I both have this thing that we'd never get one because they are so permanent and well, I don't know. DH even said he'd divorce me if I ever got one, I told him I'd too. We are hoping that Kylie will never get one as well.

His dad is the same way and in highschool DH had a friend that wore one and he had to take it off to come into his house. I don't mind guys with earrings though.

Sherry replied: I had a three-inch black panther inked on my lower right leg when I was 18. I regret it, and I actually tried to have it removed. However, it would have cost a fortune.

It's not very professional, and I never show it at work. Therefore, I end up wearing suits instead of skirts, or I cover it with makeup.

Just curious, do you cover it up because you think your employer wouldn't like it? This was another reason I never got one because the line of work I'm in or I should say the *type* of people I work with would definitely frown upon it and I would spend more time trying to cover it up then it would be worth, lol.

Sherry replied: I cover it because it is frowned upon in my profession. We are a medical malpractice law firm (for the defense), and we have a lot of people in our office usually. There are roughly 32 of us with no mediations, depositions, etc. going on.

I have had instances where it was shown, and people were taken aback by it. I had a lot of "YOU have a tattoo" comments.

People here have them, but they cover them.

Kaitlin'smom replied: I have one that I just updated a month ago, I had two red roeses intertwined on my left lower hip and added another one, its symbolises my family one rose for each of us, I will try and post a pic of it. I plan on getting another one in the fall or winter, I just have to design it.

I am kinda supprised how many of us have them.....it did take me a while to get one I always wanted one I just could not deiced where to get it. I wanted it to be privet and only seen on occasion, so thats when I finally decided on my lower hip

(either that or the tatoo artists' name..... since I can't really read chinese!! LOL!!) I absolutely LOVE penguins, and am a teacher by trade, so they are both fittng adn i don't regret either of them...... maybe in 10 years I might , but I don't think so!

I don't have any and don't think I would get one. I don't have anything against them, jsut a personal preference.

Yes, I was surprised at how many people have them, too. I'd like to get another, but not for a few more years anyway. I want a rose bud, not sure where yet. Probably on my other leg somewhere.

It's a Strawberry with a bite out of it. it's on my lower right butt cheek, you can see it when I have a bathing suit on, it's really cute, I love it!
My DH isn't TOO fond of it, but I had it before I met him!

Maddie&EthansMom replied: Well, my brother is a tattoo artist. He is a VERY good artist and freehands most ALL of the tattoos he does. He makes very good money and now I see why! Sooooo many people have them!! So, since he is a tattoo artist and I can get any tattoo I want for free....guess how many I have?? NONE! LOL! But, he is covered in them. I just love him to pieces. We actually went by his shop to see him one day (me and Maddie) he loves when we stop by. And he gave her a rub on tattoo and I took pictures of him giving her a tattoo. He has the pictures hanging in his shop. Of course I hope she never goes to see him to get the real thing.



Karen, that is too funny! DH and I said the same thing and I really think he would divorce me. I actually had a dream that he got one. I went nuts.

Yeah, that is kind of how I was in the dream. DH is very straight laced, business suit type and he was out drinking (unusual in itself) and came home with a tattoo. FLOORED ME! I was more heartbroken than angry. I thought aliens invaded my DH. I think I woke up crying, even.
