In case you wanted to know when to expect your Tax rebate, below is distribution mailing dates by SSN.

The check is in the mail

Week Last 2 digits of your SSN Receive your check by week of

1 00 - 09 July 23

2 10 - 19 July 30

3 20 - 29 August 6

4 30 - 39 August 13

5 40 - 49 August 20

6 50 - 59 August 27

7 60 - 69 Sept. 3

8 70 - 79 Sept. 10

9 80 - 89 Sept. 17

10 90 - 99 Sept. 24

For married taxpayers who filed a joint return, the first Social Security Number on the return determines the mailing date.

***ETA, this is more info I found. Mailed rebates are expected to be distributed beginning May 16. Distribution of all rebates will continue for the next ten weeks, through the end of summer, based on the last two digits of your Social Security Number. The IRS has not as yet released this schedule.

lovemy2 replied: I believe and I could be wrong as to when it all will start that if you filed your 2007 return and had your refund - if you got one - direct deposited - the rebate will also be direct deposited into the same account starting in May - not sure if that has changed now since I haven't read about it recently....there was always going to be a delay for people getting paper checks - that was the incentive to get people to file on time this year and not extend.

My2Beauties replied: Yeah I thought they said May, I heard about the direct deposit thing too, my DH's name is on our return first but my SSN is in the first set....poo! His is only 3 down from mine but still we want ours by June so we can take the money to Viva Las Vegas with us!

TrulyBlessed replied: I still need to check to see if we are even getting a rebate. If so, then it all goes to pay bills or if we are doing well, then it will go for new flooring in the living room and a half wall to make a playroom.

Ours too....of COURSE I listed DH first, whose SSN ends in 99...

Although, if that is right - Sept. would actually be a great time for it. That's about when my severance will be running out, so if I still haven't found a job it will come in handy - and if I have, we'll Christmas shop early!
