Teeth

Sarah&Mackenzie wrote: Just wondering how many teeth your children had at 7 months. Mackenzie doesn't have any, but seems like she has been teething from about 2 months. She chews and drools like crazy. She has been on 2nd foods from about 4 months and I would like to try 3rd foods, but am afraid that she won't be able to handle the chunks with no teeth. I have a feeling she will wake up one morning with a mouth full of teeth!!! She wants to eat table food so bad, the look on her face when we eat dinner and she can't have any. OK I will stop rambling. Thanks for any advice!! baby.gif

Jamielou replied: Delaney had her bottom two by 7 months and then they just came pouring in everywhere tongue.gif

mammag replied: laugh.gif That could just as easily have been me posting about Keegan. He just turned 7mos last week and has none. He's also a big puddle maker! I know exactly what you mean about the food. I was thinking of switching to 3 foods too because he gets through the 2 jars so quickly and, still wants more.

I think they will be fine to switch to #3 I just don't remember when I did with the others...

Oh, and Cade was 10mos before he got his first tooth.

Sarah&Mackenzie replied: Thanks!!!

mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: Wil is 9 mos and doesn't have any teeth. I've tried some #3 foods, but stick to mostly #2s. I gave him chicken with vegetables and small pieces of pasta (an organic Gerber #3). He gummed the pasta pearls pretty well. I've tried giving him cheerios, but he doesn't get it yet. The doctor (just had his 9 mos checkup today) told me to wet the cheerios with formula so that they're softer. She also took a look at Wil and said that he probably won't get teeth until he's almost one. I don't know how she knew, but she didn't see any poking through. Does seem like he's been teething for months now. I LOVE the toothless grin though....so cute!

jem0622 replied: My gals are 6 mos and have none, but we will soon see the two bottom teeth. Every child is different. My eldest DS had 8 by 9 mos. My youngest DS was slow too. But then they just started coming in like mad once he got going.

The longer it takes them to come in, the stronger they are. A very good thing!

ZandersMama replied: Zander has 8, 4 top and 4 bottem. You are lucky your little one doesnt have any, when they get teeth, they bite

moped replied: Jack had 2 at 7 months and now at 1 year has 9 - once they start they never stop........suddenly they have another and another...............

LeesAnn'smommy replied: Hello. LeeAnn is 9 month and doesn't have any teeth either. They don't get concered about about them not having teeth until they are 15 months and still don't have any. My little girl has been on 3rd foods for a few months now and the doctor said its ok to give them to her and give her table foods. I fix her like frozen foods like green beans, peas and things like that. She eats pasta, mashed potatoes, meat(soft). She pretty much eats anything. She chews on it just like she had teeth. I don't give her food that is deep fryed or salty or sweet. Nothing like that.

A&A'smommy replied: It varies for every child... Alyssa had like 4 or 5 teeth she started teething around 3.5 or 4 months old and finally got her first tooth the day she turned 5 months old and the next one a couple days later! but my niece and nephew didn't really have any teeth at all until they were 8 and 9 months old. Teething seems like it takes forever sometimes and I know its not fun seeing them in pain!! sad.gif

KingMom replied: Colin just had his first tooth come up on Monday this week! He will be 9 months on the 27th. He has been teething for a few months and I was just wondering when we would finally see it!

toothytracie replied: Olivia didn't get her first tooth til she was 8months old and she got 2 in a row, now I think she is getting her top ones. She drooled and chewed on things for MONTHS before she ever got her 1st tooth. I haven't tried the 3rd foods or regular food even though Gerber and some booklets I got from the dr says they can have some things now. I tried to give her a mashed up potato once and she gagged on it and threw up. So, I am scared to give her anymore. She does eat those puffs though and has no problems with them.

Emeraldsmom replied: Emerald got her two bottom teeth when she was 7 months. She is 10 months now and still only has those 2.
