Telephone - do you let your little one play with it.

Jamison'smama replied: Yes--but I am always with her--they are all too high for her to reach on her own. She loves the phone also--she has only called people on my cell phone though. We call her daddy when he is out of town so now whenever she picks up a phone she assumes he is on it.

alice&arik replied: Arik used to play with the real one, but when he started hitting redial and calling my sister in law, it was a bad idea. He now has 3 cell phones, 2 of them have batteries that we recharge for him so he can dial and listen to it, he thinks he is really calling someone. But he can't actually call anyone. When we first gave them to him he was so excited, and then i dialed 911 to see how it worked, well it really called there and i had to apologize. I guess cell phones will always let you call 911 even if it doesn't have service, i am an idiot sometimes.

coasterqueen replied: We only have cell phones, so I let Kylie play with it with supervision. She has a play cell phone, but would rather have ours. Go figure. But when we let her have them, we power down the phone and take the battery out. Cell phones aren't exactly great for anyone, the radiation they put off is bad over a very long extended period of time. So that's why we power it down.

Kirstenmumof3 replied: Claudia loves to play with the phone. We often call my inlaws and they try to talk to her, but she doesn't say anything.

Kaitlin'smom replied: I iwll let Kaitin talk to family she usually just says HI, somtrimes she will jibber with them but usually its HI and very intent listning....they love it!

paradisemommy replied: taven loves the phone but i am always with him when he's playing with it. i have tried unplugging it from the wall but he likes the *beep* more than anything so he gets mad!

She did like to grab the real one and start pushing the buttons but we slowly taught her that she's not allowed to touch the real one. She's been really good about it too. If my mom phones I will let Chloe talk to her and she loves that

MommyToAshley replied: I don't let Ashley play with it, but she loves to talk to Mamal on the phone. It is funny to watch her carry on a conversation on the phone....

It is just too cute. And, whenever the phone rings, Ashley will shout out "HELLO!"

booey2 replied: Both the boys loved playing with them and now both answer the real one. Matthew is old enough and Thomas will answer only if I am standing there. In our place we have 2 handheld cordless and sometimes we can't find it so when that happens one of the boys picks up the land phone and we search for the cordless ones. Some days there are three of us answering at the same time, we totally confuse the caller.

MomToJade&Jordan replied: I used to let Jade play with a real one before she discovered that she could turn it on. Now She has play ones. Most everything that is even close to a phone shape she uses as a phone. She will walk around the house talking all the time. She really does sound like she's having a converstaion too. It's funny.

3_call_me_mama replied: Cameron just kicked me offline by playing wihtthe phone!!! Usually he will talk to people on it, not play with it, but if he wants to play with a phone he has several toy ones including an elmo phone and several that sound real... In the car however DH lets him play woth the cell phone with the key pad locked.

mummy2girls replied: Jenna loves the phone! She actually isnt as bad as before. But its like she perks up everytime she hears the phone ring. But she loves cell phones more. So i gave her one of my old phones and she likes that! LOL
