jcc64 replied: I really liked the winner- "No Country for Old Men"- love pretty much everything the Coen brothers do. "There Will be Blood" was a great movie too, though Daniel Day Lewis was pretty much the whole movie. Loved "Juno"- glad the writer won.
As for the dresses, a very lame year. My favorite was Heidi Klum, though what was she doing there anyway. Is she an actress????

Jamison'smama replied: I wasn't a fan of Jennifer's this year and I usually like her. Jennifer Hudson made a wrong choice. I liked Nicole Kidman although it was on someone's worst dressed list. I know Heidi Klum's dress is being auctioned for a women's heart disease charity---hence the red dress.
Did anyone see Gary Busey attack (I use that word lightly here) Jennifer Garner on the red carpet---he really shook her up--kissing her on the neck twice. ICK

Yeah I did see that. I think for one, Jennifer had no idea who he was and he should have never hugged and kissed her.
He use to be a very talented actor, but that was awhile ago.

thought the following people got the short end of the stick
the costume designer for sweeny todd ( totally should have been a tie with the winner for elizabeth, whom i also like)
Brad renfro and whoopie , neither made it into their designated montage ( whoppie for the past hosts and brad for the mumoriam)
ratattoi should have tied for musical score ( the best for an animated film in a long time)
Juno should have gotten best pic
Enchanted ..well it's sad they had 3 noms for best song and NONE of the songs got it.
ladies leading should have gone to cate blanchette or ellen paige ( no more said there  )
