The Safe Side - stranger danger DVD

redplaydoh wrote: The sex offender post reminded me of this DVD.

It's from John Walsh and Julie Clark (Baby Einstein founder). I bought the DVD just before we left the US because I think the two of those people paired together would make a great video on the subject.

I haven't watched it yet, I think the boys are still to young... I'm just wondering if any of you have seen it or heard about it.

jem0622 replied: I don't think your boys are too young. You want for them to know, and they comprehend far more than we ever expect from them. I have heard of it. We have watched another stranger danger series with our boys.

DansMom replied: Thanks for posting this! I love the Baby Einstein series, for sure. I'm going to see if it's at our library.

redchief replied: I'm going to check and see if our library has a couple of copies available. If they don't, I'm going to suggest they acquire a couple. Thanks for posting this!

Twelve Volt Man replied: My mom and dad got it to show my neices and nephews. From what I understand, it is a fantastic video.

its never to young to teach your children about Sexual assault smile.gif
You just may have to teach them differantly to age

boyohboyohboy replied: we have this video, its great. walmart carries it too. caleb watched it when he was 4. its not to scarey for them..educational and fun.

Maddie&EthansMom replied:
This is true. From what I heard they gear their teachings towards elementary aged children. I heard it is really cute and not scary at all. wink.gif

I'm next up in line to borrow it from a friend. wink.gif

Mommy2BAK replied: I've really wanted to order that!!!

MommyToAshley replied: Thanks, I just ordered it.

luvmykids replied: That would be a great item for libraries thumb.gif

I need to get it, one way or another. I love how friendly and innocent kids are but it is a very dangerous thing, sadly sleep.gif

DansMom replied: It's available from Netflix as well! I just put it in my queue.

MommyToAshley replied: We received ours the other day and watched it with Ashley. Definitely worth getting... I give it thumb.gif thumb.gif . Ashley asked to watch it again, and later that day a situation came up that she reapeated something in the video. So, I know at least some of it sunk in.

michmom replied:
That is a really good idea! I didn't want to spend the money on it, but I will check our library for it.
