The convention last night - *not really political i don't think*
luvbug00 wrote: So personally I really have no favor with either side of this election this year. My family is split down the middle in this house. But i watched both speaches just to see what i thought of thease people personality wise and just for the fun of watching their families and peoples reactions. but this is what i got out of last nights events.
first off i think the cameras thought that the older brother was Bristols babys dad and he knew it because he kept akwardly smiling.
Secound Levi ( the real babies dad) looked like he would have rather been eating sawdust then be there.
Third Bristol had some serious growth in the bust poor thing looked like she was gonna tip over. ( i so sypathize and remember that back strain)
Fourth i found it so cute that the little sister was licking her palm and smoothing down her baby brothers hair...gross but cute.
is it just me or does palins husband look much younger then she is?
I loved the line where she said "the only differance between a hockey mom and a pitbull is lipstick" THAT was hilarious.
I think cindy mc cain's dress was wayyy to electric green and i think she should have stuck with a softer color like his mother did.
any one else notice anything they found amusing??
Danalana replied: I didn't get to see much of it, but that dress WAS green!
mammag replied: I don't think he is younger than her. They were highschool sweethearts. I think men keep a more youthful look longer. And especially when a woman is wearing more of a business attire... it just gives you a more....sophisticated look.
I think Cindy is beautiful no matter what she wears and I never really picked up on the green dress.
I found it funny at the end when McCain came out and they didn't seem to know what to do. It looked like at one point she was telling him that they should wave one more time. It was a bit awkward.
I also kept gigling at the youngest girl. She seemed to be eating it up when she went on stage... giving her little princess wave. And the parts with her baby brother.....
Maddie&EthansMom replied: Scotty and I fell in love with the youngest girl. She is a cutie!!!
Oh my gosh. Isn't Cindy gorgeous? She'd be beautiful in a flour sack!
My observations from last night were.... PALIN ROCKED THE HOUSE!!!!!
Danalana replied: I agree, Aimee. Doesn't look like she is one to back down! I look pretty smashing in a flour sack, too!
boyohboyohboy replied: I absolutely agree that I thought she was really gracious with her family and her kids were great. that little darling girl is going to look back on that day and be so embarrassed! I think she did a great job.. i also think cindy is pretty.
and they said last night that palin and her husband were high school sweet hearts so they must be close in age.
luvmykids replied: I cried when I saw that it was just too cute
And I loved every minute of last night, and think they have an awesome family dynamic, and think Palin is all around fabulous!
redchief replied: I saw McCain's mother mentioned above, and while I can't (and don't want to) argue about anyone's choice of dress color, am I the only one who is amazed at how amazingly vibrant this woman is at the age of 96? I think that woman is incredible!
mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: Totally agreed.
I just watched Palin's speech via a video on my computer. I agree with Aimee, I think she rocks! I am by far moved by what she said. She is real. They've got my vote, hands down.
Sam & Abby's Mom replied: I didnt watch it but caught a snippid of it on the news and noticed that Palin's husband looked really cute holding their baby boy
mammag replied: Oh I so agree!! Amazing! I watched last nights and it was amazing how quickly she stood up when he introduced her. She looked really excited to get her moment in the spotlight. She is so cute....and so much spunk!!!
Danalana replied: Yeah, she looks amazing at 96!
