The doll for the person who has everything?

I'm not making fun of this seller. I've actually added her to my favorites. I just wonder if there's really a market for this doll. happy.gif I guess I would buy one just to say I have one. emlaugh.gif

:ETA:
I would never poke fun at anyone who handmade items. I think they are great actually and you should check out the rest of her dolls. Very whimsical. She even sells kits for those of us who are not doll makers. smile.gif I'm not sure a kit would even help me. emlaugh.gif blush.gif

Well if you won't, I WIL blink.gif blink.gif

PrairieMom replied: wow! what an artist!

mummy2girls replied: this may good for a prenatal class instructor tongue.gif

MommyToAshley replied: Ummm, it's, uh, interesting....

stella6979 replied: I agree that the girls got talent, but it's not something I'd want.

Crystalina replied: Oh!
I just zoomed in on the photos and...it's very much a girl. I wonder if she makes boys as well?

cameragirl21 replied: sorry, but I think that's a little creepy! I guess it serves a purpose but seriously, I could see the likes of Stephen King getting inspiration for the next horror story from something like this.

mckayleesmom replied: I could see someone who does childbirthing classes or a doctor having one, but to just collect or keep at home..I'll pass.

Calimama replied:
Yeah.. interesting. In a creepy, weirdo kinda way, rolling_smile.gif

BAC'sMom replied: No thanks that’s weird!

ZandersMama replied: I was looking at something kinda similer....a woman makes dolls for preemies, exact weight height proportions. So the child can see what they were actually like. It was pretty cool. THis one however, it kind of creeps me out.

My3LilMonkeys replied:
Now that is a great idea, and something I would probably buy!

I was a bit put off by the dimensions - 12" doll, 11" womb. With my kids, that would cause all sorts of literal translation problems, leaving them believing that the womb is really as big as the mother... emlaugh.gif

DVFlyer replied:
Ditto

Nina J replied: I don't think it's weird. I think she is making them specifically for educational purposes, e.g. Midwifes, university's, etc.

This is for a Custom Made Order Doll Childbirth education doll set womb with a view waldorf dolls for childbirth education this doll set has been designed for teaching about the process of birth

It's not weird she's making them. It's would be weird if anyone brought it for purposes other than education, like if someone brought it just to have. But if a midwife or a lecturer brought it to educate, that's fine.

Boo&BugsMom replied: I don't think it's weird, but it's not something I would buy for my home or anything for the kids to play with. laugh.gif I think it would have been a neat thing to show Tanner before Aiden was born, so he could see how his brother was inside my tummy. He's like that though...he likes science and gross things. This is the same kid who wanted to see the amputated leg we had in our Histology department at work. blink.gif laugh.gif
