The living room is DONE

We hired a sitter for the girls today and Dh finished the last two walls this morning and I did the rest of the trim & got up on the ladder to clean up the ceiling where we got some wall color on it.

Before: I can not wait to throw that light fixture in the trash. I hate it.

kit_kats_mom replied: After, now it's grey and the longest wall is the same color as the ceiling. Almost pure white. My architect step dad reccomended the colors. I love it. it really brightens the place up.

And please excuse the mess. We still haven't put everything back into it's proper places yet. :P

kit_kats_mom replied: Now I need to go get the paint for K's room. She wants it pink with blue, yellow and green polka dots. I'll see what I can do.

Once all the rooms are painted, we will get new flooring. I can't wait. our carpet and lineloum is gross.

Thanks. All of the newer construction homes in FL are like this. It's kind of cool but then again, not so cool when you are trying to decorate. It makes furniture placement a bit difficult.

I was looking at this post last night and DH said "awwwww, that's the way a room should look" when looking at your after pictures. He's such a goof! He said that because he hates color. He thinks every room should be some sort of white color so you maximize the "look of the size of a room" so hence I'll never have colored walls in my house. I blame it on all the painting he used to do for a living and having to paint too much color.

My aunt's new house is the same way. She was complaining about the furniture placement also. the room looks great though. it's amazing what paint will do for a home. Guess I need to get going on these rooms now.

LOL. Well, tell him that it is actually a pretty dark grey. it just doesn't show up very well in the pictures. It is not white at all.
