The sitter is here to watch the girls and you - won't believe what she brought with her
kit_kats_mom wrote: The real life baby for her life sciences class. That little bugger has cried almost nonstop. She's rocked her, fed her, burped her and changed her and I think it's going to sleep now. LOL
mckayleesmom replied: Oh Lord.....I HATED THAT THING........On a funny note. My friend got one that was broken and cried for 24hours.....Her dad made her put it in the garage at night and she drove to work with it in her trunk..... How is that for abuse????
CantWait replied: I did that for a Home Economics and Family class in highschool and I absolutely hated it. I had the bad baby that never stopped crying no matter what you did. I was pregnant at the same time I had it. I ended up failing because it showed that it cried for to long most of the time because I could never get the key in right. It was straped to our wrist and couldn't come off. Sure made me feel good as a soon to be mommy
kit_kats_mom replied: LOL. Our school didn't have them so this is my intro. I think I'd have hated it too.
jacobsmama replied: LOL I had one too and mine cried all night so the red light was lite up on its back and all the other kids had taken there batteries out and restarted it so they got a pass and since I was too good of a kid to cheat I flunked!!
Edward's Mommy replied: I never had one or took a class but I had a friend who had one. We went to King Soopers one day with it and everybody thought it was real. It didn't work for her though, she had to drop out of school because she had a baby!
kimberley replied: ok i am dating myself but we got an egg to take care of can you take the batteries out?!
kit_kats_mom replied: I dont think so. she has to get up and feed it a few times a night & everything
mckayleesmom replied: I had an egg baby too.....
kimberley replied: that is cruelty to teenagers but not a bad idea for those girls who think having a baby in high school would be "fun"
luvmykids replied: I must be really old, they didn't even give us eggs! I guess back then they still thought no one in high school was doing the deed!
3_call_me_mama replied: LOL! We only had eggs too But that's cause our school had enough real babies floating around with real teen moms that they didn't want to confuse them for the robotic ones ! Serously, we only had the egg for a week adn it was in like 7th grade. 9th grade they taught us about birth control in child development ~ boy did I feel stupid asking questions!! (there were 7 inteh class 4 had kids already.. UH a little late for that class). gotta love home ec right!
mckayleesmom replied: How did you take the batteries out? Ours was locked and only the teacher had the key.
punkeemunkee'smom replied: We had eggs in 7th grade-all of us dressed them and there were some really cute ones! In highschool they used bags of flour The highschool girls that take dance after Tay came in the other day with a few of the robotic ones and they kinda scared me!
mckayleesmom replied: Mine wore overalls....I took them off one of those cherished teddy figurines....
luvbug00 replied: ***can you take the batteries out?***
if its' what I had then no. It reccords all "abuse" hitting , not being tended to and such it has a computer chip thing the teacher can stick in her computer and tell if it ahs been hit or not. at least ours could... reality bites eh??
NEWMOM05 replied: I had friends that used their babies as footstools, but the comp. chip sensed that they had abused the baby. My oldere sis had an egg which I babysat and left inside Wal-mart. We made my mom drive us back to the store to get it so she didn't flunk. I felt so bad
MyLuvBugs replied: That should teacher her not to get PG as a High Schooler. lol
mummy2girls replied: thats what i had too... my egg survived and evryone elses broke...LOL
My3LilMonkeys replied: We had the bags of flour too....
~~*Missi*~~ replied: am i old or did i miss this. I never had one LOL thank god for small miracles
ions_momma replied: LOL, I remember those! We had a choice whether we wanted to take one or not though, and I decided against it! My friend had one though and she said it cried nonstop!
Brias3 replied: OMG, I hated that thing too. On my ONE night to take it home overnight, I thought I was doing a fine job- even took it into the grocery store with me while running an errand. However, when my teacher took out the doll's chip to evaluate its levels on prompt feeding, response to crying, etc., it read that it had cried for 16 minutes straight! It was super loud too, I don't know HOW I could have slept through it! That sure as heck made me nervous for my own kids. Thinking back to that time, I was a nervous wreck the first night I had Ryan home. I was petrified I'd sleep through his crying! Somehow, the heart luckily knows a plastic doll from your own flesh and blood
