Therapy!
Kirstenmumof3 wrote: My psychologist could see that I was struggling today! My fibromyalgia has flarred up and I'm in a lot of pain. It doesn't usually bother me, but add pain to lack of sleep and a sick child and it gets to me! Plus the weather here hasn't helped much either, it has been so cold that I just can not go out with the kids! So we've been couped up in the house for about 3 weeks now! Anyway today is a pretty mild day and it is snowing, my psychologist told me to go outside and catch snowflakes on my tongue! Well he made me laugh! What a great guy, I'm trying to cry and he makes me laugh! So I went outside and caught snowflakes on my tongue!
paradisemommy replied: awe...big hugs to you and your psych for being such a good guy...hope you are feeling better soon!
chloe&tysmommy replied: I know how it feels being couped-up in the house not able to go outside b/c of the weather...it sucks! But glad you got to go out today and *play* in the snow hope you feel better soon
amynicole21 replied: I know that a lighthearted romp in the snow always brightens my day! Glad you had fun, and your therapist sounds like a great guy!
jen replied: They say laughter can heal anything! Your psychologist must know what he is doing! Best wishes to you!!!
kimberley replied: sorry you had a rough day. laughter really is the best medicine sounds like a good dr and you had fun.
Maddie&EthansMom replied: You're so funny! I'm glad to see you have a sense of humor about you. Fibromyalgia is soooo painful. I'm sorry you are having a rough time. The weather is not your friend, is it? ((((HUGS)))) Hope things look up soon.
Kirstenmumof3 replied: Yes Fibromyalgia is very painful! I'm not one to take medications either and today I had to take an extra strength motrin and that didn't even ease the pain! The pressure from the changing weather plays a big part in how I feel from day to day! Today it's the worst it's been since I was diagnosed, I hope this is not a sign that it's getting worse!
Maddie&EthansMom replied:
I'm sorry...I hope it isn't getting worse either. I used to do laser therapy on chronic pain patients and I had a lot of fibromyalgia patients. I remember in the winter how terrible they felt. Most days they couldn't make it to the clinic and it doesn't get near as cold here (obviously) Hope you feel better soon. ((((HUGS))))
A&A'smommy replied: im sorry your feeling down but im glad your phyc. (i cant spell sorry) made ou laugh!!!!! (((((((BIG HUGS)))))))
CantWait replied: I wish I was there to catch them with you, hope you had fun
coasterqueen replied: LOL. That's funny. I remember a Peanuts book as a child, I think it was a Valentines Story. Lucy and I don't remember who else was outside and they were catching snow flakes on their tongues and I think it was her that said "hmm, this one tastes like February". Or something like that. Everytime I go outside in the snow I remember that book and try to catch snowflakes on my tongue. Dh thinks I'm insane, lol.
Hmm, I think I need to find that book.
