Things you get excited about now
coasterqueen wrote: that you never thought you would get excited about....and not just things about your kids.?
coasterqueen replied: Me? I'm SUPER excited that my shower door came in and I can go pick it up today. We've been showering in the basement bathroom for 2 months now, waiting on that door. While our bathroom in the basement is very nice, I'd much rather walk right from my bed to the master bath shower than go down the basement stairs.
Never thought I'd be excited about a shower door before.
cameragirl21 replied: I get excited about pictures, of course, and I get super excited when I find what looks to me like a really cool location to shoot whereas my friends or anyone who is with me when I find it are like, " what's the big deal, it's just a field of grass in front of an old building" or something like that.
mummy2girls replied: When i get a new dishwasher. Washing machine or any appliance...LOL

jakesmommy08 replied: well this is going to sound dumb but......weve been super broke lately and havent actually went grocery shopping in like 2 months. Well we went last week and spent $200!!! WOW I HAVE FOOD AGAIN!!!! It was like christmas morning at my house!
coasterqueen replied: That's not dumb whatsoever.
I remember in college, Ryan and I were BROKE and I wasn't sure how we were going to pay the $400 rent that month. I found some change in the couch (a few dollars worth), went to the gas station, bought a lottery scratch ticket and pack of cigarettes. Yeah, I know stupid spending when I didn't have enough money to pay the rent, but guess what? I won exactly $400 on that scratch ticket. I was so excited I drove all the way to campus, waited until Ryan got out of class and flashed $400 in front of him telling him we could pay our rent. We were both jumping around screaming like little kids.
jcc64 replied: Sleep, I get very excited when the day is over and I can just crawl under the covers and pass out. How pathetic is that???

Hillbilly Housewife replied: I get excited about spending quiet alone time with my honey. We don't get to spend a lot of time alone together, other than going to bed and waking up.
I get excited when it doesn't rain.
I get excited when I have chocolate.
mckayleesmom replied: Everytime one of my appliances breaks and dh manages to fix it....so exciting. You don't realize how much you depend on electricity and working machines to make life smoother.
moped replied: I get excited about a few minutes/hours alone
Sleeping in, which hasn't happened yet!

I am excited to have this yard sale over this weekend and getting my flowers in!
redchief replied: First off, I'm jealous of Karen and her new shower door! We've got a 2"x4" frame and shower curtains right now... it's likely to stay that way for a little while yet because the door we need is super custom and is going to cost a fortune.
I got excited when we finally got water into the kitchen and we don't have to dishes in the bathtub anymore, but I bet Lisa's more excited than me! LOL
Next up... painting in the living room....
Calimama replied: I get excited about sales.. I never used to care.
I get excited over getting new stuff for the house.
I was so excited a couple days ago because I cut the grass myself.
HuskerMom replied: I was excited to buy flowers today and put them in my pots. It seems silly but it cheers me up to see all my flowers when I go outside.
I was very excited to take the kids to the circus today. Partly because I knew they'd like it but partly because I LOVE the circus!
And I'm excited to see Dh go 90 mph around the race track tomorrow night!
youngmomofone replied: When I can LOOK at my washer and dryer that I want. They are about 3k together so it's something that won't happen for a bit, but when I'm in Best Buy like today I was so excited to see my beautiful RED washer and dryer sitting there. I also get excited looking at dish washers as our military housing and our apartment had ones that NEVER worked! So to have a new one soon will be like totally amazing.
coasterqueen replied: Don't be too jealous, Ed. It was not the shower door we wanted, for sure, but I wasn't about to spend double (actually a tad more than that) for the one we wanted (and no I don't mean a frameless shower door, either, that would have been even more). This one works, though.
Boo&BugsMom replied: I get super excited whenever I get something new for our house. I don't need material things to be happy but whenever I get to redecorate or update something in our home, I get excited. This year we sided our garage and it's starting to look super nice and I am redoing our icky bedroom. In the fall we will be replacing stuff in the bathroom. I don't need expensive stuff, I just like my house to look nice.
luvmykids replied: Sleeping in/taking a nap New appliances Fixing something myself Getting rid of clutter A freshly mowed lawn/clean house
coasterqueen replied: Same here. Each time I get to do something new in the house I LOVE it. And you are right, doesn't have to be expensive, either.
PrairieMom replied: glass milk bottle milk at the grocery store. I literally did a little jig in the check out isle.
moped replied: I thought you would say it would excite you when you convert someone to "green"......I still haven't gotten rain barrels yet
coasterqueen replied: Who is the producer?
I know Oberweiss sells in glass bottles, but that's all I've seen. That's who we used to get our milk from until they stopped doing home delivery to our state.
PrairieMom replied: Some farm that is about 90 miles away. that makes it LOCAL!!!
I also literally did a dance at the tractor supply company when I found my rain barrels.
I'm not going to get excited about people turning green, I'm not out to convert anyone, I just want to do the best I can. And, if people decided along the way that they want to be cool like me, well... who can blame 'em?
coasterqueen replied: Cool! So is it cow's or goats? Pasteurized or un? I've not seen it in our health food stores so that's why I've asked, but we have gotten it from the local farmers and it's always in glass jars. Our problem is w/unp. we don't go through it fast enough and it doesn't go bad, but the taste changes after a day or two and then Kylie won't drink it. It's like we need our own cow out back to milk and get fresh milk daily to please her.
PrairieMom replied: pasteurized cows milk. We go through about 2 gallons a week. I don't think its organic, but I am sacrificing a bit to have something local and from a smaller operation.
coasterqueen replied: Local and small is good too. We are definitely more for the unpasteurized kind, but like I said doesn't work in our house....wish we had one that pasteurized it around here.
Very cool find!
PrairieMom replied: Finding out how that little Mutt has been getting into my compost bin. Ah HA!!!!!!!!!!!!!
mummy2girls replied: the though about havign this baby...
moped replied: I have been able to buy glass bottle milk for a loooong time here, but it is so much more expensive....is it there too?
PrairieMom replied: not really, its only a titch more than the organic stuff which I was already buying. We get a $2 deposit when we bring each bottle back.
