This happens every year

luvmykids wrote: Every year I wonder if I've gotten the kids enough gifts, and then I start wrapping, and see those gifts on top of what the grandparents are giving them, and start wondering if I should take some back, or hold them out for bdays, or find someone at the last minute who needs them....Every year I swear I will not buy as much next year and then there I am again, wrapping and wondering rolling_smile.gif

AlexsPajamaMama replied: rolling_smile.gif It does happen every year
and this year I saved some of the smaller things for the Easter Bunny to leave and for his birthday which are close together.

luvmykids replied: I'm glad I'm not the only one laugh.gif Even on a tight budget this year, I managed to feel like I bought too much rolling_smile.gif

DillsMommy replied: rolling_smile.gif I'm sure the kids won't mind. rolling_smile.gif

MommyToAshley replied:
Same here... I think I haven't bought enough, wrap it, then wonder if I bought too much. LOL! I think this year it is because it looks like a lot of stuff when it is wrapped because it's a lot of smaller gifts. We didn't get her one BIG gift this year like we normally do.

boyohboyohboy replied: add me to that club..it just happened last night

Calimama replied: Too funny. laugh.gif

stella6979 replied: DH and I both agreed that since Avery is still so young we'd only get her one gift this year, plus we know the Grandparents will spoil her. Well Dh and I did our shopping seperately and low and behold, we both ended up buying her a few more things. LOL! I think she's got about 6 or 7 gifts from us right now. They're not big, extravogant gifts by any means but we both changed our minds while shopping and just wanted her to have more than one thing to open on Christmas morning. smile.gif
I'm sure we'll be kicking ourselves after Christmas is over. biggrin.gif

Boo&BugsMom replied:
Yep...same here! blush.gif

Hillbilly Housewife replied: That's the beautiful thing about never using credit. I can't buy more than I can afford...ever... and I don't ever get hit with a nasty bill the next month. happy.gif

luvmykids replied: We don't use credit either wink.gif I'm not worried that I bought more than we could afford, just more than they need laugh.gif

Cece00 replied: I do this every year too.

In fact, when they opened their like *15* presents each from my mom, I let them open 2 or 3 things & we packed up everything else. I stuck a few presents in the closet to save for Evan's birthday next month & a couple for the other kids birthdays as well.

msoulz replied: LOL, me too - but I did set aside 4 toys for Erin's birthday, which isn't until next November (I couldn't resist some of the deals on Amazon that one Friday!). And in the meantime should the need arise for a toy for a 3 year old, we will be set!

jacobsmama replied: I also totally do this every year! wink.gif

mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: I think that's what happens when I buy gifts too early. I think that I need more, when typically I don't. So I think maybe I'll hold off until closer to Xmas next year. This way the wrapping isn't all done two weeks before and I feel the need to go out and get more.
